Good Monday Morning! What's Gnu Wit You?
Good morning everyone.
DH and I went to the funeral visitation last evening. People were lined up outdoors 3-4 people deep. We got there early, so we didn't have to wait in line. I knew I wouldn't be able to stand in a long line. Jim was very well known and loved, so many, many people came to pay tribute. He will be missed. The July 4 parade that passes in front of his house won't be the same this year without Jim and his smiling face. Last year, Jim was quiet (very unlike him) and subdued. I mentioned to him that it must be hard as it was the first 4th "party" without his dad. Little did anyone know (even his wife didn't know) that he had just gotten the news about the lung cancer 2 days prior to the 4th.
I don't think I'll go to the funeral. Since DH is pallbearer, he will go. I just don't feel up to doing makeup and hair again today. I'm going to slum it in my PJs today. I do feel better each day and am going to try to walk up the block and back sometime today. If it ever quits raining. I'm thinking we should start building an arc.

Good morning Karen. Well we went downstate this weekend to get a different pool. We had ours up for 8 years & this winter it sank! Don't know exactly what happened. It was a
lot of fun. We also cleaned out some of my sister-in laws flower beds & my mother-in-laws. Had some of the grandkids too. Today I get to drive to Grand Rapids to go to Fredrick Meyer Gardens on a kindergarden fieldtrip in the morning. I swear retirement is not for the lazy!
My DH is going fishing next weekend so I am hoping for some ME TIME. I sure need it.
Still trying to get the rest of my garden in too. Ihope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Off
Beautiful day in our neighborhood!!
I sure enjoyed my weekend babysitting my friend! Then back to housework, cooking and shrink sessions and a new social worker who's focus is permanent placements rather than getting the child functioning again! Gramma is uncertain if she can handle the little one as sick as she is and the dingaling social worker wants to find someone else instead of just leaving the little one here and having granmma work with us and the shrink to bring the little one back to emotional stability so gramma can take her! URRRGGGG I am calling her supervisor! Great strides this weekend and the dingaling wants to yank her from here for statistics!!!
My friend is staying here for a month but in her brothers rv he drove over yesterday. Little bit loves her nursing duty trotting out every half hr to made sure Teresa is still amongst the living!
Plans for today including heading for the grocery store to rectify the mother Hubbard cubboards before hubby leaves for someone with food in the house! and some housework.

Ah, the cats are fighting ... but it never lasts for long. Soon, they'll be grooming each other and cuddling.
Not much going on here today. I need to clean up the kitchen after the salsa chicken yesterday. I am a messy cook. But the end result was wonderful.
I have to clean up the place a bit here before I leave tomorrow for my mom's and the interview Wednesday. I have my dentist appointment at noon tomorrow, then I'll hit the road from there. I'll take my computer to my mom's but not to Louisiana. Don't want to pack it in my suitcase and no carryon big enough to put it in.
Well, nothing else happening here. I need to do a little shopping today but otherwise just hanging out. Have a good day.

We got a ton of yard work done this weekend, and even opened the pool. Of course, it's chilly and supposed to rain for the next 3-4 days - ugh - but the yard looks good - lol
Not too much news other than I'm eating the yummy Greek Chicken Salad I made over the weekend for breakfast -- it's so yummy. Hope you all try it.

It is another beautiful sunshiny day here in MN....I just love it!! It makes me want to get up and get moving. I can"t go too far....it is Monday and Monday's are usually my busy work day.
I friend came over last night and we watched Survivor.....I am soooooo glad Russell didn't win!!!
That is about it for me....got to get back to work. I wish everyone a beautiful day!!

I can't imagine why Russell thought anyone would vote for him???� He didn't get a single vote from the jury.� If he had won, I would have never watched the show again.....I just couldn't stand him ....what a liar.
Yes, looking forward to Big Brother too, but the last season wasn't a good as some before....getting a bit "far out".
