Hi Karen and everyone

Today I am just going to relax, so far anyway.  Yesterday I bought a few plants for my garden.  Today it is rainy and cold.  Just my luck!

There are a lot of people too busy to post.  But, I need the support and friendship we have here.  So, I will be a daily visitor

Peace

Mary

I am on my way.  What a ride it has been.

Hi,
Im up and at them today. We are in a hotel in the chicago area. Couldnt stay with the kid cause she has her friend here for the weekend so We got kicked out to a hotel.....
We are staying at the Glenview Wyndham Suites in Glenview Ill. Not a bad hotel but the staff is a bit rude.
They wont get a good review from me.
Told me on the internet when I made the reservation that breakfast was included and they were telling me it isnt and it would be 10.00 per person. I said that is not what the internet said and she wanted me to bring my puter and show her. I told them that if they didnt include it I was going to despute the bill on American Express!!!!! Ill be talking to the manager today.
I decided to leave tomorrow to go home and not go to Denver.
I will go to denver sometime in July.
My nephew Elle and his mama are desplaying art in an art show in a park today at 1pm So I am going to go. It will be fun.

Good morning, Karen and everyone who follows this morning!

I think with the summer and nicer weather, everyone just gets busy and there's not as much time for the computer.  That's true for me anyway.

Friday was hectic with doctor appts etc.  That evening was awards night for seniors at the high school.  Kristin won a small merit scholarship and two awards (honor roll and art) so that was all good.

Yesterday was a go-go kind of day too but at least there were no doctor appointments.

Today Ted and I are picking up our grandson.  Depending on the weather, we'll either go to the beach or play indoors if it gets stormy.

have a super Sunday everyone!

hi karen and everyone....my excuse is i have been working so not home to play on computer.

today is my mom's 89th birthday...she had all her kids with her out for dinner except for me :-( i told her i thought about coming home yesterday to surprise her for the day but the long drive there and back in one day just wasn't up to it with my hip hurting. but glad i didn't go because of the nasty storms that happened in michigan and ohio!!!!! would have been right in them!!! i did send her a card with money in it and called her several times today. so she is happy with that. she is thinking of coming for a visit again but my older brother is scared tobe left home alone. she took him into ER again with chest pains friday night. they told him he has water in his lungs and pneumonia. gave him lasics and sent him home. i told mom that he could also come for a visit here if he wanted to. i know he won't. so have to wait and see what she decides to do.

i go see my pain dr in the morning and he is going to hear me loud and clear about this hip pain i am in!!!! i hurt to sit, i hurt to stand and i hurt to lay in bed. i HURT!!!!!! hopefully he can do something for this dam pain!!!

well that is about all for me tonight. probably won't be anyone reading this anyhow being so late. hope you all had a great day!!!

Judy, I'm here. . . just 6pm on the west coast. Sounds like it is a good thing that you didn't make that trip!

Hi Karen and my OFF family:

I love Peter, Paul and Mary too ... Mary Travers died not too long ago. Classic songs. I have the CD collection and listen to it often in the car.

I'm back from Wisconsin/Chicago area after a busy weekend. My brother Gary made about $650 at his moving sale; I made about $45. Well, I had a lot of smaller stuff; he had furniture and kitchen stuff and a washer and dryer. I brought some clothes and nice sweaters, and none of them sold. Oh well ... I know Gary was happy I was there to help him out.

On Sunday, we all went down to my mom's, met my oldest brother Ed, his wife Margaret, her mom and my sister Rosemary there. Ed, Margaret, Gary and Rosemary were already there when I got there, cleaning out my old room to get it ready for Gary (that will be his bedroom). Mom was stressing out about it ... she wanted to see what they were doing. They threw out the old crappy bed and frame, the old console TV and a bunch of other stuff, put it in the alley ... someone already was looking at the stuff before we left for dinner. Then we went to Red Lobster for dinner, and after we ate, the staff came out and sang Happy Birthday to Mom and gave her an autographed card. She didn't have cake because she's diabetic It was very sweet.

The visit was bittersweet for me. This will be the last time I will see my family for a long time. I don't know when I'll get home again. It won't be like it has been for the past 10 years, when I was able to hop in the car and drive 4 hours home. I'll miss seeing Ben and Sam grow up, miss getting together with my brothers and SIL, who is my sister from another mother. And my mom, who is going downhill slowly now ... don't know when she will leave this world and I won't be able to get home quickly to say goodbye. I'm happy to get the opportunity for a new job, but sad to leave my family so far away.

Well, I have lots to get done today. I have two weeks before I move, and I have lots of pitching and packing to do. Have a good day.
