Wake up everybody - it's Saturday
Good mornin', ya'll.
You must not be really awake yet Margaret. OK, I'll help with the rain dance. Sitting on your butt sounds like a wonderful goal for a Saturday. Especially after the Friday you had. Relax, Candy!!
Absolutely NOTHING going on here. We went to lunch with our DIL and one grandson yesterday for Father's Day. The older grandson got called into work early. I am back to NO restriction. I was able to eat: half a salad, a 6 OZ sirloin, 4 ribs, AND a baked potato. I will go into see my DH's fill guy on Monday and get just a smidge. 1.5 cc's is now not enough, but at 2 cc's I was unable to swallow my own spit! I NEED restriction, because it is obvious I have no will power. I am a relatively intelligent adult, WHY HAVEN'T I LEARNED WHAT I NEED TO DO TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!
Will finish the booties for the white and pink baby layette, and then I will make some more borders on fleece blankets. My DIL's sis is having a girl soon, and she would like a couple more small blankies.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Been a while since I posted. Life just got busy again. It will slow down today. We are off in a few for a weekend up north. Gonna go help stepdad with some house work like cleaning the fridge YUCK! But he needs the help. Then some fun I am getting a motor home for my birthday!!! Well we are getting a motor home soon and are looking at some today anyway. What a great way to spend my birthday weekend!!!
Prayers going up from our house for your house what ever the needs or wants may be. Hope all have a great weekend.
If you still have him remember to tell your dad you love him!
We were going to a strawberry festival but Mary called and asked if we wanted to visit. Not much of a choice. Drooling over shortcake and all sorts of goodies I can't eat or playing with the M&M's. The M&M's win every time.
I still have a box of summer clothes packed from last year. It is nice to fit into clothes year after year instead of always needing larger sizes. But ... a girl likes to buy new stuff too.

Kisses

I'm at Paulette Porters house in Illinois ... some of you may remember Paulette, she used to post here a couple of years ago. Sweet woman, good friend. I made it here last night after getting lost a bit and missing the turn for I-57 (never saw a sign for it, and there isn't any). We are having a nice visit. I got caught in a massive storm around Michigan City, Ind., and had to pull off into a gas station to wait it out. Very severe thunderstorm swept through, leaves and branches flying through the air, lots of rain and lightning, possible tornado.
Scooter was none too happy at being in the car. He is in a good mood right now, sitting in Paulette's sewing room, which has been transformed into my bedroom. I have to go drug Scooter to get him ready for the trip today.
The move was a pain; movers got there late and then I didn't take off until after 3:30 p.m.; then I had to go to the vet to get the drugs for Scooter. I had problems getting the cable box DVR off the cable (and Comcast was no help; they said they could send someone out on Monday ... yeah, and I'll be gone!). The moving guy did help out there; he had the proper tools. Then the bed headboard wouldn't come off the frame; seems the furniture store guys bent the bolts when they put it up. But the mover did a good job of getting it off finally ... he had to break the bolt, but had spares to put it back up when he gets to my new place.
Well, I need to go get drugs into Scooter, take a shower, repack and hit the road. More later. Have a good day.
Not much to say today....I think all the stress I have been under lately has finally hit....I am exhausted!!
I plan on laying low, watching movies and reading books today.
Wishing you all a wonderful day. Prayers as always to all in need. Thank you all for always being here for me!!!
Love and hugs to all......connie d
Very warm outside even though it is still only 11:00 am.
Not much going on for me today except for working inside and out. I want to get as much cleaning, painting, throwing away of stuff, etc. done before I start to teach in a week. Once I get going, there will be little time, or energy, for much else.
Have a great Saturday.
Margaret
Anyone hear from Eileen?
Just a quick wave! Going to be really busy tonight and tomorrow with Father Day activities.
Nothing too much new here. Been kind of lazy the last day or so. I think it is just burnout.
Everyone be safe in this heat, bring water with you outside!
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

We had terrible storms here in Sturgis last evening -- they started around 7:30 and by 7:45 my electric was out and the wind was blowing about 65 mph.....Normally storms don't bother me as long as I have electricity, but in the dark and the storm I have to admit I was terrified. So I am assuming someone in the neighborhood called the emergency number to get the power back on......N O T! Finally at 1 a.m. I called and actually spoke to a live person .....he assured me it would be taken care of as soon as possible......FOUR FRIGGING HOURS LATER, I finally hear the city truck and in less than 10 minutes the power is back on......what the heck took so long????? So 8 hrs with no power, hoping nothing spoils in my refrigerator or deep freeze....I didn't open either one until later this morning and everything seemed to be ok.....guess we'll see if I get sick.
Sorry to vent here, but dang it I'm upset with city services.
Anyway I didn't sleep much, I was up and down all night and only had my cell phone that worked. So a nap is in order this afternoon.
Otherwise my life is just peachy dandy.
