Good mornin', ya'll.

Well, I have a little restriction again.  It just never lasts. When I was first banded it took 3 fills for me to get to my 'sweet spot'. I lost 125 pounds. Since my surgery and consequent unfill I have had lots of fills and unfills and I'm still not 'there'.  And I gained back 25 pounds!!  Bah, humbug!!

Today I see my orthopedic surgeon.  My oncologists have given me the go ahead to have this left shoulder replaced!  HOORAY!! I am going to ask that it be done the first week in September.  I was told that this surgery and recovery will be more extensive than the rotator cuff repair on the right shoulder that was done 4 years ago. This month is out because of my class reunion in NY.  August is out because of our grandson's wedding in OR. So I need to squeeze the surgery in between the wedding and going back to OR in late October to babysit.

Today is our son and DIL's 20th anniversary.  They were married in city hall with no friends or family there.  They grabbed 2 strangers to be their witnesses because they didn't know they needed to bring 2. They had always planned on having a BIG wedding for their 20th anniversary, along with a new BIG ring for her.  Well, the Marines had other plans.  Our son will be deployed for another month.  So I guess the big wedding will have to wait until next anniversary.

Our humidity has returned and it is oppressive.  It's the only thing I DON'T like about NC. This is paradise in every other way.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Good morning, Julia and everyone on OFF!

I feel like I haven't been around in weeks but it hasn't been that long, just a couple of days.  The youngest had a torn miniscus in her left knee repaired and so I've been at the hospital and then sticking by her, making sure she's OK.  She's doing great so far but still in pain from the surgery.

Other than that and the usual doctor hopping, we've just been basically hiding from the heat.  At least it's not in the 100s any more.  :P

Hi Julia and my OFF family:

Supposed to be payday for me, but no money in my account ... arrrgh! And I can't get ahold of the HR person ... she's out of town til Monday, and when I call the operator, it rings and rings and no one answers, so I'm going to have to get dressed and go there. I just hope that stupid credit union doesn't hold this check for 30 days. I really need the money. I have to get supplies ... cat food, etc. I have to pay bills. I can't keep going on "the kindness of strangers" (although they're not strangers anymore) for much longer.

I finished two pages last night, so I felt a little more confident ... although my speed is still way down. Still, I'm beginning to regain my skills. Hard to remember where everything is in this program.

Well, if I have to make a trip into the office this morning, I better get a move on. Have a good day. I'll read when I get back.

Hi Julia and all my OFF friends,
Well Hubby left for upstate NY (the land of the grandkids).  I needed to work in order to take next week off.  He is attending a boat show by my son's company.  They have 60+ boats attend - it's called a rendezvous.  Hubby took our 17 year old nephew with him.  Don't tell them but it's hard for me to muster up any excitement about boats.  The only thing I'm proud of is that my son restored many of them.  So it's good I didn't go along.
I will clean like a madwoman to prepare for the Grandsons coming on Sunday.  My hubby is a TV watcher and I get drawn into it instead of doing my chores.  So the TV will stay off for the weekend while he's gone.
I'll grocery shop on Sunday and cut up all the veggies so they are easy to grab.  My DIL is very good about what the kids eat.  They eat mostly veggies, fruit and meat.  Not too much carbs in their diet.
Hugs and good wishes to those who need them.
Bev

Hi everyone - just another quick stop in to say hello.   I've been busy as can be with work - which is full time PLUS - and summer socializing.  It's great, but I need some down time to get work done at home.  I'm gardening this year (flowers, tomatoes, peppers and basil) and enjoying it so much.  Hadn't been able to do much of it for a few years.  Yay for weight loss!

All is going well.  I love my new job - it fits me and challenges me at the same time.  I know I'm doing well and that feels good.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Mary
