I'm up early to start acclimating to going to work an hour sooner.  Tomorrow I start my new hours - 8-12 Mon-Thurs. 9-12 Fri.  So I will still have afternoons free, but will get ten more hours per week paid....hurrah!  They have lots of projects for me already.

Went to Saturday nite church -- it was nice for a change.  Today I'll watch the British Open Golf Tournament which starts in a little while.  Have leftover omlette from breakfast out yesterday with DS.  It was nice to sit and have a chat with him.....seems like we don't get together often anymore -- he was getting a tattoo on his upper arm last nite, I think it was the old english "D" for the Detroit Tigers!!  He only has one other tiny tat on his ankle.

There is a meeting scheduled on 8/15 for the tour group I am in for our trip to Germany in Sept.  I am getting excited.

Better go jump in the shower and get dressed.

Have a blessed day,
Pat R.

Good morning Pat and everyone...

I am in a great deal of Fibromyalgia pain....think the busy week with 3 year old Gracie has caught up with me!!
I had a pink (Gracie's favorite color) T Shirt made up for Gracie that said "CAMP NANA 2010" . She loves it...my daughter Jamie thought it was so cute!! Nic just rolled his eyes!!!

Not planning much today. Need to get a few groceries, read the Sunday paper and that is about it.

My granddaughter Kyleigh (18) is staying with me for a little while. Long story there!!!

Everyone is talking about vacations.....for me family has to come first right now.  I am hoping to manage to get away for me at some point.....we will see!!

Keeping you in my prayers....a few special prayers too!

Love and hugs to all......connie d

(((gentle hugs)))  I have fibro too and I'm sorry you're having a painful flare, hope it clears up really soon!  I think it's a good idea that you don't have a  lot planned today.  Get lots of rest and relaxation!

I get fibro too, and when I wasn't working, it was easy to take time and stay in my jammies and do nothing ... can't do that now, but I'm not complaining. I love having a job to go to. But it's definitely more difficult now, when I feel sore, or I'm having a fibro or IBS flare ... can't just sit in my recliner, or sit in the dark when I have a headache and sleep all day. I just have to take a nap and hope it goes away by the  time I go to work. And this humidity seems to be especially hard on my body. But like I said  ... not complaining, happy to have a job.

I'm hoping that finishing my degree will make me more marketable because I really want to get back to work again.  Nursing the fibro is ok but it can be lonely and depressing too.  I think I'd rather be like you and have a job!

Thanks Irish!!!!!

I did get some relaxing done...I am not in as much pain as yesterday. Thanks for the concern. You are so sweet!

I think the weather played a part in it flaring up and also a 3 year old to keep up with for a week..tons of fun but Nana is pooped!!!!!!

Hope your pain is better too!!

Hugs....connie d

Hi Pat, Everyone. . .

Nice to see your post, You will love Germany, it is so clean and the people there are friendly, I was there 2x when my son lived there and I only wish I had more time to explore it, but what I saw was definitely nice and we did that side trip to Amsterdam, a very interesting city. . .

Well the trip to Mooresville went well, it was a beautiful memorial service and the euology that my cousin's husband gave was very touching, he ended it by reading the words to a song written by Bruce Springsteen, Terry's Song, which was a track that was written and recorded as a memorial to his longtime personal assistant and friend, the words most definitely fit my uncle. . .  he was truly one of a kind and while we left behind will miss him, I am sure that there was a long line of people waiting to welcome him home. . .  my trip home was another matter, got stuck on the Capital Beltway (DC area) coming home and even my GPS could not reroute me around the traffic, it added 3 hours onto my trip, worse traffic experience I've ever had and I will NEVER take that road home again. . .  made it home tired and was greeted by my sweet Roxie, took her for a walk and then watched one episode of my Y&R that I dvr daily and then went to sleep. . .  Tony came down this morning, we had a nice morning, afternoon and now I have things to do before I go back to work tomorrow. . .

Well folks, I'm off to finish what needs doing around here and hope you each have a day of peace and wishing you strength for the less pleasant dealings of life. . .

Hugs, Laureen

good sunday morning!
yesterday, i was up before any thread got started but didn't want to start two days in a row- i love it when different faces appear!! it's great to see you this morning ,pretty pat!!!
i understand your wanting to acclimate your body to your new schedule--i will start having my two days off again(tues and weds)  this week so i think  that i need to try to keep the schedule of waking etc--maybe i'll get something done around here finally!

this morning, it's raining-sposed to shower all day off and on-we certainly need the rain so i am not complaining...but without a car, even the trip up the hill to mom's seems long by foot in the rain!

the dogs and i are getting used to sleeping alone..michael seems to have given up on the bed-his hip i guess...he's not feeling up to snuff this weekend. he has been talking nonstop and some has not been coherent this weekend- and then shouting...not pleasant at my house....

yesterday, mom and i had planned (for weeks!!!!) to drive to bay city to the Tall Ships Celebration--didn't happen...too many things going wrong around here -her house and mine--so--and today, with the rain, i'll pass! hopefully they will come to port somewhere nearby next time and we can go.....i'm not a real ship lover but feel taht you need to do things at least once! and to see them outfitted like the early ships would help some of my geneaology thinking!

i really really need to get some stuff done here- did two loads of laundry -which are STILL on the clothesline now wetter than before-michael is having accidents and has progressed to a diaper but the "bedding" is never ending....

my coffee cup is empty and i really should shower....no clue what the day will bring....
hope it's good for all of you...
hugs and prayers..................

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo how are you getting to work without a car? you are really having your hands full with Michael arent you? Will keep you in my prayers.
