Girlfriend's box of questions.
I walk 2.5 miles up a steep hill every morning. This summer I've been working 10-hour days (I told my boss there should be senior labor laws) but the one thing I wouldn't stop doing is my morning walk; consequently I get up at 4:30 in order to get to work by 6:30 to begin the long days.
My mantra is "never again" referring to my weight loss after yo-yo dieting my entire life. This time I am fully committed to following all the rules, including exercising. Six months after my RNY I had a total hip replacement and prior to that time I couldn't walk from my kitchen sink to my stove without a cane. Today I CAN and am grateful for every step I take and the quietness of the pre-dawn.
Compulsive behavior got me to 260 pounds but now keeps me below 150 (I'm 5'8").
YEAH for compuslive behavior!!!

My most compulsive daily ritual after getting out of bed and my nature call, getting my cup of coffee and sitting at the computer, but nowadays, with the added routine of walking Roxie in the mornings I've had to give up my computer in the morning, makes me feel disjointed somehow, but Roxie commands attention in the mornings. . . and me, I just refuse to get up any earlier, besides does anyone else seem to lose time in the mornings? Lately it seems no matter what time I get started, I still have trouble getting out the door on time, this is new to me, but then again perhaps it has to do with my not liking the job I have. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Well, lately, Scooter gets me up with meowing, head-butting, kisses and purring ... he used to just snuggle and purr but he's become vocal, so we have this little good morning routine. Then it's the bathroom, where he meows some more ... then off to the kitchen to feed him, where he meows some more until I get his food on the plate (and finally ... he shuts up!). Then I take my calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin D, drugs... and then it's time for protein and breakfast. And I must say, it really is nice to have a morning newspaper again (Grand Rapids was an afternoon paper except on weekends and holidays ... I really like a morning paper).
After protein, it's time for coffee and water. I usually also watch something I've recorded. Then I check the boards, mail, Facebook, etc.

This is an easy one for me...
Get coffee ASAP
Take a few pills
Sit down and read on the computer and answer emails
Do laundry, staighten up, do errands and work in the yard.
Get up and do it all over again!
Boring..lol

Not surprised Janet!
My habit is different (I'm always the odd one!). I am addicted to plucking. I have an expensive tweezer because I need a really good on. I have lots of hair and I pluck on my face every day if I can... my chin, upper lip, and eyebrows. I looked into laser but my hairs are mostly gray or white now and laser won't work. Plucking hurts so good!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
