What's New for Friday...
Hi Julia and my OFF family:
Wow, it's only 78 degrees this orning and it's almost 11 a.m. Scooter let me sleep til almost 10 this morning. I didn't realize it was so late because it was still so dark. Mostly it's been a nice quiet gentle rain but then when I was on the phone with my friend Roxane, there was a loud clap of thunder. Yesterday afternoon, we had a big loud violent storm ... the power must have gone out here for awhile because all my clocks were blinking when I got home. Scooter was a little freaked (more so than usual), too ... he doesn't seem too scared of storms when I'm here. I think he's lonely but I think he also enjoys being the only cat.
Julia, it was nice chatting with you last night on FB. I'm always up late.
I had to check two credit unions to see where my paycheck was ... it was in the new one.
I did the front page of the Opelousas Daily World last night, plus two jump pages, and dealt with a late breaking story that forced me to move a story inside after I had the page finished ... and still finished 20 minutes before deadline. Woohoo! I was pumped. I also had too much caffeine. I decided it would be too busy for me to eat so I brought a protein shake in for dinner ... it had some caffeine in it, too. So between the natural high of rocking deadline and too much caffeine, I was a little overwhelmed ... I had to really come down from it last night.
Excuse my typing ... for some reason my keyboard sems to be skipping lately. I'll have to clean out the keys. I've been trying to catch the typos as I go but I might miss some.
Well, off to the shower and the credit union to move money around. Have a good day.
