I've seen that machine on the internet- I would love to try it. My doctor did suggest PT after a few days of healing. I'll check into that. Don't know how I would get there, but it's probably doable.

Hi Margo and all my OFF friends,
Eating at my desk again today.  Employee meeting is at 2:00 p.m. today.  It rained a little this morning but now the sun is out again and it is hot and muggy here too.
I'm getting nervous about my first psychologist appointment ever tomorrow.  I don't know where to begin I've got so much to unload on her.  I haven't let hubby know yet that I'm going.  I'll probably tell him tonite since I will be late getting home tomorrow.  The appt. is at 5:00 p.m.  I'm prepared for some fireworks.  I'm sure he doesn't want me talking to anyone about some of our problems that involve him.  But I need this to help me learn how to deal/cope with things.  I'm depressed and comforting myself with food again and I want to nip it in the bud right now.  This psychologist I picked handles eating disorders and can do hynotherapy, as well as, family issues.  I should have done this long ago.
Tonite is the concert on the green.  It will be a swing/jazz band.  Not my fav. kind of music.  So if it even threatens to rain we won't be going.  I'm sort of leaning toward not going because I want to clean out the fridge and wash some floors (at least the kitchen) tonite.

 I think it may be time to repaint the porch...right now its just stained.  I seem to have bees setting up house where the little "love " has been pecking ..so I guess I know what I'll be doing this week end !!!!! 

 And I'm supposed to be on vacation ...!!!!  Geeze!!!

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

I'm late getting on here today. When I got up this morning, I fed Scooter, took my shower and got dressed, then went out shopping. I went toward the mall, where Petsmart/Petco are, Kohl's etc. Didn't go into the mall, just the outer areas. Petco had the cat food I buy on sale, even cheaper than Petsmart where I usually go, so I stocked up. Then I went over to Petsmart to get litter, because I wasn't familiar with Petco's brand (I'm sure it's fine, but Scooter's persnickety about his litter). Then I went to Kohl's. I had this gift card from Rent.com for renting here, so I decided to buy a toaster (my toaster doesn't really toast very well; I have to put my english muffin down twice to get it brown enough). Kohl's had one on sale marked down from $49.99 to $24.97, a digital toaster. So I bought that one. Then I went out for lunch to this place called Copeland's of New Orleans. Waste of money. I had shrimp pasta, but it was more pasta than shrimp ... four tiny little shrimp for $8.99. I complained, and the waiter said it was more about the shrimp sauce. Well, there wasn't that much sauce, either!

Then I stopped for a few groceries. Boy, I'm pooped. The heat and humidity ... do I hear a common refrain here? It's 94 degrees, feels like 109 ... really saps your energy. I am so glad I got the little shopping cart, although it still took two trips in to the house to get everything in. Still easier on my back and knees.

I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. last night and slept until 9 a.m. ... well, really 8:30 but stayed in bed til 9 and when Scooter harassed me enough.

Margo, I am hooked on iced coffee down here. Too hot for hot coffee. I had a trenta iced coffee before heading out for shopping ... lasted me all morning/afternoon. So good. I take iced coffee into work ... much better than pop and gives me the caffeine kick.

Carla, sorry to hear about your SIL. I knew she had problems, just didn't know the severity.

I got my washer replaced (they had given me a loaner) yesterday with the real one. I need to get out and do laundry once I've rested up enough. After lunch, I was feeling a little queasy. Didn't agree with me at all. Don't think I'll go back there.

Well, I guess I've babbled on long enough here. Take care everyone.

eileen- gosh- i forget to ice my coffee! growing up i drank it that way in summer! and my fave ice cream was coffee --we had this cool lil ice cream place -pre baskin robbins--called mr penhuin and they made THE BEST coffee ice cream....thax for the memory!!

maybe the fats in the shrimp sauce-or the cream- are what disagreed with you- often that is my problem.....

Good Morning my OFF Sisters...and George too.

My work is at a fairly slow pace lately so I'm trying to get back in touch with everyone here.  I sure have missed Annette's humor.  No better way to start the day.

Yesterday was the funeral for the co-worker that was killed on Friday.  The other two are still in the hospital, one still critical.  Last nights news was shocking.  They've discovered that the police officer that ran over the motorcycles was drunk.....twice the legal limit.  Surprised since the accident was at 11:15 in the morning.  It's a very sad situation here.

I agree with everyone that it's time for this heat and humidity to go away.  People at the state fair are passing out from the heat and they're actually giving away water to the visitors.  I'm sure the food vendors aren't happy about that....taking away from their drink sales. 

Took my home computer to my repairman last night and he has to replace the power souce.  He should have it done by tomorrow.  I've been without it for over a month.  Just glad that I can read my emails and Facebook on my phone since I can't access them on work computer.  Brenda lets me use hers but doesn't like to.   lol
