Good mornin' ya'll.

Well my DH and 2 grandsons leave for OR at 1 today. The boys spent the night here last night. Our son (their Dad) got back from his 6 mo deployment yesterday.  He and our DIL had a nice quiet night alone. Although our son had to get up to go to work today. I think they are going car shopping later today. Our DIL's car is in our driveway, towed there last month with a ruined transmission, so she was driving our son's truck which now has a minor problem. The younger grandson's car is in the shop getting new brakes and the older grandson's AC is out on his car. Everything goes to hell in a handbasket when your spouse leaves!!

My DH has a terrible head cold, stuffy head, sore throat, body aches.  He will be miserable on the plane today. I hope he doesn't give it to the rest of us. Our oldest grandson's wedding is Saturday. My goodness, some of us are getting very old!!

My weight has been jumping all over the place this month. I wi**** would settle DOWN!!

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Wow, barely home and life just jumps right in there and grabs you doesn't it? Looks like your son could have a little breather first! However, compared to what he has been doing every day life probably is wonderful. Tell him that I do appreciate what he does. Freedom certainly isn't free!

I'm home from 2 weeks at my daugther's. I'll probably not be there in October when you are in Oregon again. We'll get together one of these days for sure. Have a great time at your wedding!  A grandchild getting married! Ours are just working on the "thougtht" of potty training. . .

Good Morning Everyone!

It's going to be glorious here in eastern Washington today. The sun is just rising, it is cool with a hint of rain in the air. The sky is clear but I can "smell" rain. I love that smell. The past two days have brought some relief from the heat. It's a dry heat anyway, but when it gets above 100 it doesn't matter how "dry" it is! Yesterday and today are in the high 80s. For mid August that is wonderful. Almost a hint of fall in the air tho I'm sure that is delusional on my part!

I'm "Home Alone" and I'm  taking advantage of it. Little or no meal prep, minimal housework (It will be there when I run out of other stuff to do!} Catching up with some friends, thrift shopping, buying perennials on sale, planting, reading, doing family research, just about anything I can think of except the many "shoulds" in life.

I have been to the gym the past 2 days and will go again today. I'm been watching a weights class but haven't quite had the courage to join it yet. The instructors say you can start out with small weights. These are like barbells! I'm intimidated! Pictures of my dropping them and them crashing on the floor or on my face!

You all light up my life. Let your light shine on someone today even if it's "just" you!

yup! thx for starting us! i was awake on schedule for work but didn't want to start the thread!brody and i watched the news and slept in our chairs for a bit.....

funny you mention shining a light- mom and i have been using a light to signify to each other when we are awake in the morning- i turn on my outside light-she can see it from her kitchen- i look for a specific lamp in her kitchen windows- if her light isn't on by X time; i have to call her to wake her up since she is my work ride!

i ordered some "spool rollers"- do you remember them from when we were lil squirts? - i love em! marcie cut my top just short enuff that they give a nice curl and i can sleep with them in tho i must be quite creative at getting my cpap straps on--may have to resort to a kerchief on top of the curlers- goodness; i'm turning into my great aunt azalia -may she rest in peace!!!!(seriously; she was an awesome awesome auntie- beer swigging, card playing -she offered me many wonderful youthful memories!!!! i truly miss her much as her sister my gramma---aunt zal was the aunt whose glass chickens i played with as a wee one- and she turned me on to soap operas and letter writing!)

we finally got the predicted rain last nite-rained so hard it knocked out teh satellite for awhile.i went to bed for a few hours cuz michael was getting  the depressed poor ol soul and tried playing the sympathy card...i cannot let it tear at my heartsrings and so i removed self from it....all it accomplished was to temporarily avoid it. some days it's hard to tell when his depression is genuine and when it is -well....

so- yesterday; i accomplished ..........NOTHING......
mom came down and i ordered her ticket to denver in october for her --she gets so flustered by the computer.....and i filledour pill containers for the week..so -i accomplished NOTHING...today; i'm hoping will be a tad more productive.....

thank goodness for a/c-scared to see the electric bill when it comes!

hugs and prayers...........................

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning, Karen, and everyone,
it's sort of a dull morning around here.  I was up early so I've watched all the local news I can stand, drunk all the coffee I can hold and checked my tiny amount of email.  Now I need to find something to do for the rest of the day.  Oh well, guess I'll go clean the bathroom.  See yall later!  Cassie

Good morning OFF friends....
Are there somedays when you just wake up feeling happy??  That's me today -- not sure why but it sure makes for a pleasant day.

I stripped the bed clothes and dumped them in the washer before leaving for work -- will dry them when I get home.....left the bed unmade.....question for everyone -- do you make your bed every single day??  I do it before I even leave the bedroom in the morning...except today....LOL.

Have two carryins tomorrow -- one upstairs and one down here tomorrow....I may be ambitious and make cinnamon rolls - recipe makes
two pans so that would help.  Hate turning the oven on in this terrible heat!

Better get busy now -- have a great day.

Saw the shrink and the counselor yesterday.  They added a med to help my Zoloft work better and doubled my Klonopin to 1m 3xday for the next month.  They told me no work for at least another month.  Hope my short term disability insurance doesn't run out before then.  Today I plan to hop on the elliptical again this morning.  Up to 45 min. on level 2.  Yesterday my bums were really sore after I was done.  Then if I can stay awake I plan to do some housework and maybe finish painting the front bathroom.  Anyway I plan to stay inside since it is still so hot outside.  Ya'll stay cool today.
