Well, I'm here paddling along.
Day 8 of optifast. Dinner will be a pasta sauce made of ground beef, tomatoes, onions, celery, garlic, peppers and herbs from the garden. I will eat it as my meat and veggies like a soup. I'll make pasta for the guys to have it on. I have tons of tomatoes and this will be a good way to use them.

Thanks for keeping on with the thread. I read it every day. Often more than once. But it's hard to post honestly when my head isn't where it should be. (like up my b***..... Well, you get the picture...) I just figure that eventually I'll get my motivation back. Meanwhile I keep reading, and thanking the Powers that be that I have this forum to come to.
Retirement is nice, but as I find my calendar isn't as stuffed full of things to do, I'm lapsing into the old habits. Every day I think I'll get back on track.
If I move my head out of the way, maybe someone would help by giving me a swift kick.....?
I think I need a trip to see some of my sistahs. I can drive up to a couple hundred of miles without any problem.
Annette, I wish things with Tom weren't so up in the air for you. I'd be on the road this afternoon.
Looking forward to the Fall.

Two of the older grands - Amanda & Dylan - are here for the weekend. I was busy making salad and other stuff. I sat to relax and heard Tom putzing in the kitchen. He said he started cooking hot dogs and burgers.
Sniff sniff - what's that SMELL?
He was cooking them in an inch of oil!! Gag, yuck, oh no.
I hate to complain when he cooks but good grief, who ever heard of that much OIL to cook anything?
Cottage cheese was better for me.
Done complaining. Hand me an oar. I promise not to whack him with it. Umm ,, maybe a little whack.
Kisses

I went over yesterday about 150 calories. Too many carbs. Not getting in my water either. Too much coffee though. I've gone back to journaling my food and exercise. Having the elliptical is helping. My son told me yesterday to do 30 min 2 x day instead of 45 min all at once and it will be better for me. I did get in my 30 min this morning but it was hard. The clonopin increase is kicking my butt. It's hard for me to get my heart rate up in the right range. Blood pressure is pretty low too. I'm having problems in the evening with the grazing. Need to come up with a way to stop that.
