What's up Monday?

I can't believe I am the first to post today.  Been up since 5am.  Too much rest this weekend I guess.  No plans for today except I am going to try the 5 day pouch test to get off the carbs.  I have looked all around the net but can't find plain simple instructions that I can print out on one page.  I don't want to purchase a book or anything.  It's driving me nuts.  I've been hot at it on the elliptical.  My daughter says she weighs less than me now but I'm not too sure, lol.  At least I  can say her hips and butt and breasts are way bigger than mine.  She is only 5 ft though so I do have 2 inches on her.  The weather said it shouldn't break 100 today.  That will be some relief.  I'm having a horrible time trying to keep my shrubs and plantings alive.  Even my trees are suffering.  Ya'll have a good day and stay out of the heat.

Isn't it crazy that we get excited about 95 degrees? Golly, this is the worst summer we've had since we moved to Arkansas 5 years ago. There are 2 high school football players in comas at local hospitals due to the heat during practice. I think that's nearly criminal!

A friend gave me her brand new Gazelle yesterday, complete with about 6 DVD's that she never opened.  I've always wanted one, so now let's see if I use the dang thing....lol. It's right next to me here in my office, in front of the TV, and where Gary won't see me using it. I got really uncomfortable using my Wii in the living room while he was sitting there reading. Seems silly, but it is what it is. So, wish me luck with it. If I don't use it, I'll sell it.

Alrighty then, off to get bkfst going for Gary and get ready for my day off. Lots of errands and running around, thankfully it will be UNDER 100!

Good morning, OFF'ers..

Overslept a little this morning. Got in about 8 p.m. last night... did an oops... drove for 7 hours straight getting home from Galveston..didn't have my phone on... DIL tried to reach me to talk to my grandson... she was not a happy camper when we got in.... how many times have I called and KNOW she sitting there not answering??..oh well...

Anyway, got home to other son broken-hearted. I'm hoping this is just a road-bump and he and his honey will figure this out. He was right on the verge of the proposal and we were all hopeful. He has a couple of deal-breakers I'm not sure he can get around. Nor she. Life... sucks sometimes when it's your own kids. I can deal with it but you sure don't want to see your kids hurt.

I missed only a day and a half of work last week and feel like I've been gone two weeks. I'll have 2 hours of work for every hour I missed. Grueling job... and stressful...but so needed. Thank goodness. Lost my VP to another company last week so things they be a'changing.

Over 100 again today. Forget Sweatin' To The Oldies.. I'm the Oldie sweatin'.

Good Morning:

All last week woke up with just enough time to shower, dress and run out the door for work.  No computer play time last week.

Today starts my vacation with 3 hours of oral surgery this morning @ 8;30am

Hope everyone has an awesome day...

Sybul, Just look it up a day at a time. The first two days are easy to remember, NOT so easy to do! I've just finished day two.  Days one and two: liquids such as protein drinks, broth, cream soup, sugar free jello and lots of water. As many shakes as you need. I thought I'd need 4 but was satisfied with 3. After you finish the first two days then figure out day three which is what I'll do today. I believe it's soft protein such as tuna, canned chicken, eggs. . . Good luck.

I hve my stuff for the first two days.  Already had my protein drink and working on my first bottle of water.  I can do this, I can do this.  Threw out all the carbs.

Sybul, I just can't seem to do a little bit of refined carbs. Started with a little bag of Cheez Puffs to entertain me in the car driving. Just love the disolving feeling in my mouth. They I graduated to a larger size. . . . Hence problems. Hopefully one of these times I will learn  the lesson permanently.

Good morning Sybul and everyone.....

Sybul....so nice to see you start the thread today. Good luck with the 5 day pouch test....you can do it!!!!

I never did get on the computer much yesterday....I missed my daily dose of OFF!!

My guy and I lounged around all morning reading the Sunday paper and drinking coffee. Such a perfect morning. Nice to have cooler temps and all the windows open once again. Then we went on a road trip in the afternoon....very relaxing and enjoyable day. We watched a movie in the evening...Shutter Island...I am not sure we liked it or not....kind of gave me the creeps!

Today is a busy work day because I took off Thursday and Friday. Now I will pay for that decision!

Wishing you all a good day. Keeping many of you in my prayers today...some need special prayers as well.

Love and hugs to all....connie d
