here's to a Terrific Tuesday--what's new?????
Pat, congratulation on your surgiversary.
I'm in a funk again. I'm glad I see my psychologist again tomorrow.
Tonite we go to the concert on the green again. A particular favorite is playing tonite - Dr. Ya Ya and his Dirty Rice Band. Fun band.
Ever have those days when you thought you put something in your purse to take to work and then you get to work and can't find it anywhere. That's me today.
I'm not doing the five day pouch test but have cut everything back to soft. I had yogurt and applesauce for breakfast. I have a lite Progresso Soup for lunch. I will try that for a few days. I'll add a scoop of protein powder to my chocolate milk.
Not much going on.
Hugs to all.

I so miss having my sessions with my psychologist. She was more than a doctor; she became my friend. I enjoyed talking with her. She believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I hope you find the same type of person.
My oral surgery went well yesterday. Doc took out all the top teeth and put in the implant posts. I have to wear a full plate for three months while the bone grafts and the implant posts heal.
I wanted tylenol with codine/doc talked me into letting him perscribe percocet. I'm glad I went with the stronger. I don't like the narcotics and the up in the clouds feeling but it is keeping the pain at bay so I'm taking the percocet then extra strenghth tylenol in between to keep the pain level at a low. Since I can't take ibuprophin, they perscribed steroids for the swelling. So far no brusining but doc said that can take three days for it to show up under my eyes. and on the cheeks. I can't eat any solids so I'm following the full liquid program I did after my WLS.
I wanted to sit out on my deck today, want out to the shed for a lawn chair, forgot they are up on a shelf, would have had to climb a ladder to get them so I'm back in the house cuddled up with Hider (our kitty).
Gene see's clients today at the community mental health center then has private clients tonight so I probably will not see him till very late or tomorrow morning before he goes out the door to work again.
HOpe everyone has a great day...

Ida, I've been so careful about taking anything since WLS. With this "hemorroid from Hell" I'm taking anything in the house with any "kick" to it. It's all so old that it probably has lost its fizz. Doctor's appt in a couple of hours. If it's what I think an external hemorroid they should be able to help me. If not, I may be looking up some dark alley! Just kidding, but the only rest I got last night was in the bathtub from about 2-5am. . . . Tonight I have the epson salts at close hand. Last night I'd have had to get out and go to the other bathroom to get them. Can't bend or strain without excrutiating pain. Kind of reminds me of the first few weeks after knee replacement.
Sounds like pretty major surgery you had. Hopefully you'll be over the worst of it soon. The long term results will be well worth it. Take care and heal fast!

I had a waste of a day yesterday. That massage made me so tired ... I couldn't do a thing yesterday. I napped twice and went to bed at 11 ... well, I went to bed at 9 and to sleep at 11, then got up every half hour sweating and finally couldn't get back to sleep at 1 a.m., so I went to the kitchen to get an ice pack for my neck and read for a while. I started reading a new book ... this one's "The French Mistress" by Susan Holloway, about a woman who becomes the mistress of King Charles II of England. Interesting so far, just getting into it. "The Red Queen," about the mother of Henry VII, was so interesting.
Anyway, I didn't sleep all that well last night, got up several times, Scooter would get me up and meow at me during the night ... finally got out of bed at 10 a.m. with a headache. I'm determined to get something done today, so I stripped the bed, got my comforter in the washer, followed by my sheets. Still have the headache; I've had the ice pack on my neck and sometimes it seems like it's working but then I get up to do something and I feel crappy again. I think I need coffee, water and my Imitrex. Then maybe a shower.
George, I watched the Rangers-Rays game ... it was a shame that they lost that. Lee was pitching so well ... his fielders kind of went to sleep in the eighth inning. My White Sox haven't done so well the past few games either.
Well, I hope to get something done today. Still hot down here, but cooler than the past week (88 degrees). Have a good day.
