I scheduled my plastics today!     Friday, Sept 24th 10:00 a.m...... Abdominoplasty and brachioplasty! Can't wait, but "the girls" will. Next Spring for that.

Just had to tell people who understand  lol

Thanks!  I honestly never thought I'd do it, but I'm sick of wearing Spanx( or the off brand) and trying to hide my flappy arms under sweaters when it's 100+ degrees outside.

Congratulations.  You're a lot braver than I am.  I decided a while back to let what wants to hang, hang, and what wants to flap, flap.  The recovery from the surgery is just too much work for me.

You're beautiful without the plastics, you know.  It comes from the inside.

Just sayin'.

Candy, my sister from another mother, you're too sweet!

I have never in my entire life, including childhood had a waist or a flat stomach. The cool thing that this surgeon does insert a type of timed released pain catheter that has a continuous dosing of pain meds. There are two of them and they last 5 days. They dissolve, like dissolvable stitches.

Figure it can't be any thing close to what I went through with my Achilles, so it will be fine.

That's what Janet had.  It's a little (yeah, right, a LITTLE!!!) awkward, juggling the drains and the bag with the pain med, but apparently well worth it.  It seems to make the pain far more manageable than without.

It's important to have someone with you to help with  the basics.  As good a reason as any to be married.  But then, I admit to being a bit jaded....

I've done the Achilles thing.  Very little in my life has hurt that much....

You think you're hot now, with the weather.  Just wait.  Hot will soon be an attitude!

Love ya,

Candy

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!

I HAD A WONDERFUL NURSE.  PAIN WAS MINIMAL, COMPANY WAS GREAT, EASIEST SURGERY I EVER HAD... AND CERTAINLY THE MOST FUN.

Make sure they pull you tight.. do the muscles.  I didn't get pulled tight and I'm a little 'fluffy' in my tummy again.. but then I was back to work in four weeks.. 3 to get the drains out.

I'm hoping to be tight enough to bounce a quarter off my belly!  Wish I had a personal nurse like you did, but will have to settle for Gary. Hmmmm, nice, but some how not the same.

He said I could travel or go back to work in 2 weeks. We'll see. I defiantly have some decisions to make in that regard.

You lucky dog!  I'll have to save up for that for a while.  Good luck.

I'm just lucky that we have a house that's nearly paid off. This is costing less than my Kia did, so I'm just not going to fret over it. I'll save up for the breast work, and with my business getting so busy, that shouldn't be too hard. I just feel I owe it to myself to have it done.
