Good morning everyone,

Hope you're all looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend. Since we've retired  the weekends don't mean a whole lot. I sure remember how I looked forward to them when I was teaching. We start school here before Labor Day so that first 3 day weekend was a chance to breathe deep and get focused on the school year ahead.

No plans for the weekend. May try to round up a couple or two for a "grill and chill" on our deck either Saturday or Sunday. The days are getting shorter and it is much cooler but still quite nice. Often our September and October is the nicest time of year. I have a hard time appreciating it as I know winter and even shorter days are on the way.

I think I told you all about my "vintage" 1985 tent trailer. I hope to get it out to a local park on the river in the next couple of weeks before it gets too cold. Yesterday I made an awning. Found a cute sturdy shower curtain at a thrift store that works great. threaded it through a 1/4 inch metal rod onto the awning railing on the trailer. Got a couple of rigid dining canopy poles from Freecycle.com (love that site!) and I'm in business. I plan to refo the cushions and pretty it up inside. It's old but really sturdy. We had the  wheels packed, bearings replace and new tires put on. That's about all there is to them being "road ready." The canvas is in good shape as are most of the other essentials like the lift system and slides.

Hi Everyone, it has been a crazy week. I got moved to a new office. I will like it a whole lot better once my desk is put together. My sister in law is having lots of health problems. She fell last night and now she has a fracture in her vertebrae in her neck. Her daughter is taking care of her but she may need to go to a nursing home. She is very unsteady and stubborn. Bev....April is one of my families big birthday months...whew!!!  Enjoy all your parties!!

I really need to talk to my doctor....I had to take a Boniva again this morning. Every time I take that I get such bad headaches and feel sick. I get stomach cramps and you can guess the rest. I thought maybe my body would adjust as this is about my 5th dose. Not so....I took it an hour ago and I feel awful....this will last until evening. I WON'T refill this again!!! I have tried a couple others and had issues too. The only one I didn't have problems with my insurance won't cover...grrrrrrrrrrr!!

I am going to relax now. Hope you all have a really nice day!!

Connie, My husband had issues like this with cholesterol meds. Finally his doctor wrote the insurance company a letter noting which meds he had tried with which side effects and they finally approved the one he currently takes. You might try that route.

Thanks Karen....I did call the doctor and am waiting for a reply now. Love my doctor....she will get this straightened out. I just kept hoping the side effects would go away....they are just getting worse!!

yes Connie you doctor will have to be pro active for you and you might have to go thru it several times before they get the message....

I tried a few different ones and they all made my entire body ache. Now I do weight bearing exercises and keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Annette...my doctor called back...they are going to try to get approval for the one med that did work and the insurance didn't pay for.

I told my doctor if that didn't work I am not taking anything else. I am still sick and I took the Boniva at 7:00 this morning!!

Good morning Karen. I can't believe no one else has posted!
I am usually one of the last ones.

It should be a quiet weekend here. The kids are taking their dog home today. She is a good dog,but so big. I amlooking forward to some quiet time. My DH had to go to Saginaw today, 2 hrs. away so it will be quiet for a few hrs. Time enough to clean my house.
