TGIF! What's happening with you?
Off topic here but I guess this is ok to post here. Does anyone have a Farberware Electric table top grill? Our daughter gave us a brand new one but somehow the instruction booklet got lost. I can get one on line for $10.00 but that really irks me. If anyone has one they wouldn't mind copying I would be glad to pay the copying and postage.

hi all- slept right thru the rain and thunder last nite- had a tuff time waking this morning- and it is cold here- 65* and windy -

friday at the bank is always busy which is good!
have had my lunch and am back at my station...we're not open tomorrow- have teh local parade-have to walk behind the float..and then help in the afternoon with the door prize drawings....
has anyone driven a VW Passat station wagon? michael found a nice used one downstate and a great price- wondering if anyone had experience bad or good?
really needing some alone time.....trying to plan a trip in mid october but air prices just won't go down!
well- hope everyone is safe on the east coast- our joyce and john are on cape cod aren't they?

Hi Karen and my OFF family:
I'm getting on here late today; it's payday so I had to go out and spend ... first to Starbucks to reload my card and get my morning iced coffee (too hot yet for hot coffee, but it's down to 85 degrees today ... the woman at the deli counter said that was cool). Then I had to get some cards at Hallmark ... realized I forgot my goddaughter's birthday (and her brother ... they were born on the same day, four years apart. They're my friend Rox's kids.). Then I picked up Subway gift cards for them, just $10 each. Then to Brookshire's to get groceries. Finally home.
So it was busy. I don't have to be at work til 4 p.m. because deadline isn't until midnight because of football season. One of the other copy editors was going to have a party at her house over the weekend, so I asked yesterday what I could bring; then I asked if it was byob ... she laughed and said maybe after work. I said wasn't this after work? She said that party was canceled and we were just having a work potluck ... oh, I didn't get that e-mail. But then I was having computer problems last week, and when I signed on yesterday, I couldn't connect to the network; spent an hour sitting there with nothing to do. They had to put a new chip or something in my computer ... something called a nic. Anyway, last night was smoother ... hopefully tonight will be too.
Anyway, I've babbled on long enough. Karen, your trailer sounds nice, but I'm not a camping person. Tried that and didn't enjoy it. I don't have a long weekend; I work Saturday and Sunday ... I think I have Monday off but that's my normal day off.
Well, have a good day. I'm chatting here with Bev and wished her a happy birthday.

Happy Birthday Bev. I think everyone has months like that. For me it's April. I have kid's birthdays on 1st and 3rd of April. I have mine, my twin sister, and 2 best friends on 12th April. Family has one big celebration some time in the first 2 weeks of April on whatever date works for everyone.
This weekend is going to be a wet one here. I was hoping to swim again today but my son's partner is in hospital having an operation for scoliosis (having rods put in her back). Her mum rang this morning and said she wasn't doing well so we are going to go into the hospital instead. It's about 1 hours drive away. I made some pumpkin soup for her as she is hating the hospital food. I have booked a motel room for my son to go down later tonight and stay overnight so he doesn't have to travel for the 2 days.
I was going to a girls night out tonight with my workmates but I am not sure that is going to happen now that I am going to the hospital. Girls night out would be great. I work at a police station and it isn't often all the female police officers are off at the same time. No I am not a police officer, I am an administration officer.
So I am not sure what hubby and I will do for the rest of the weekend. Probably do some shopping then if we can catch a dry spell then maybe a walk down the beach or river.
