Good Sunday Morning........
One of the sites said 87% of people that tried bed rest and that did not use bed rest, felt better within 12 weeks.
12 WEEKS??? Please let it be sooner, rather than later.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Glad you're getting lots of work Carla -- the $$$ are good!
What good news, Julia. I just knew this was going to be ok, but I will keep praying just in case!
Those early hours will get you Margaret -- better start adapting really soon...I'm a morning person so getting up early is no problem for me.
Ouch, indeed George. Sciatic problems are extremely painful, I know from experience. Behave and do what the doc says!!
Off to church shortly, then a shopping trip with my sis to Elkhart, Ind. today.
Have started some packing for my Germany trip -- still can't believe it's really going to happen....so excited.
Thoughts and prayers for our Margo M.
Have a blessed day,
Pat R.

Done! Your Ticker:

I now use ice more than heat for my aches ... I get home at night and put ice on my neck and shoulders and on my knees, and in the South, as hot as it's been this summer, the ice feels really good.
Good luck with your sciatica ... oh, and chiropractors can help, too. But if you can find a good massage therapist, that will do a world of good for you.
Good Morning Carla and Friends,
I went from no plans other than prettying up my little tent trailer to having company! Not company, but kids home unexpectedly. It's all good we love seeing them whenever we can. Our son and his girfriend just finished their first few days of teaching in a new school year. He teaches 8th grade she first. They slept in yesterday and then woke to a rainy Seattle morning. They threw their stuff in a bag and headed east. Most of the time it is sunny here in the eastern part of the state when it is raining over there. The Cascade Mtns "shield" us from the rain.
So . . . dug into the freezer and thawed baby back ribs and chicken. Oven smoked them, made a salad and some "sweet potato hash" invited my brother and sis in law and we had a great evening.
I found the "sweet potato hash" in a recent Better Homes and Garden mag. It was delicous. I think I'll start cooking sweet potatos that way. I don't have the recipe in front of me but here was how the sweet potatoes were cooked for the start of the recipe: peel and quarter two potatoes, put in a microwave safe dish, cover and cook at 100% power for 6 minutes. Chop potatoes into smaller chunks. Heat 1 TBSP oil in skillet. Saute potatoes about 5 minutes til brown and crisp. There's more to the recipe but this is a great way to do sweet potatoes. My husband doesn't like them but I sure do. This is an easy way to cook one for me. I'll do that more often. No sugar added and they were yummy and kind of carmelized!
The sun is just peeping over the horizon and everyone is still asleep but me. I love the solitude of early mornings. I hope to get my little curtains made for the trailer this morning. Shouldn't take long. Got it all cleaned good yesterday and packed with my stuff. Hope to get out next weekend with a friend who also likes to camp. Not much more nice time left and I want a "trial run" before I put it away for the winter.
Julia's post made my day. I'll continue sending positive thoughts her way. You all have a nice day.
