Good Sunday Morning........
I hope everyone's enjoying this holiday weekend! I know I am so far. Earl brought in a cool front that I am so enjoying. All our windows are open!
I can't remember when last week I last posted so apologies if I repeat myself. I started classes on Wednesday and so far I'm enjoying them. I was worried about getting back into the swing of things and being able to think clearly but that hasn't been a problem at all! So far, I've been to math, earth science and Deaf culture classes. My creative writing class meets for the first time Tuesday.
We have a quiet weekend, nothing exciting going on and will be reading, studying and just relaxing. At some point I want to get my hair cut and we have a few errands to run.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Man, I'm draggin' today. it's nearly 12:30 p.m. and I'm just drinking my first cup of coffee. I'm so sleepy. Work was OK last night ... got done on time (other than I forgot to put the borders on the photos on the cover ... it was caught before they got on the press).
We are eating well at work at night ... Friday night, we had a potluck with sandwiches and lots of other goodies; last night, we had pizza and other goodies (German chocolate brownies, leftovers from Friday night); tonight, we're having chili. The managing editor/acting sports editor said he's going to get fat coming back to the CPC (content production center, a fancy name for copy desk).
My brother and mom are at my other brother's vacation home this weekend; I'm amazed that my mom would go anywhere. My brother Gary says she's getting paranoid about leaving the house empty or opening windows at night, worried someone is going to break in ... if someone would break in, they have to climb up a ladder and make a lot of noise. My friend Mary Kay says paranoia like that is the first sign of dementia. She didn't want Gary to let anyone in to take care of his cat, even Gary's niece (by his sister-in-law from his ex-wife).
Anyway, I don't think I'll hear from them this weekend, unless Gary calls from his cell. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow when I'm off. I work tonight again, but there shouldn't be any late stories. I survived the two big nights of football and was only five minutes late on Friday, so that's good.
Hope everyone else is enjoying their long weekends ... I have my usual two days off, just one of them happens to be a holiday. I'll get my holiday some other time.
