Good morning Carla and everyone who follows!

Happy Labor Day!  Thank you thank you Earl for bringing us such a lovely weekend so far!  Yes, it's supposed to be hot and humid again by Tuesday but for now, it's just glorious.

We don't have a lot planned today but I'm going to be a little busy studying and reading.  A good bit of my depression has lifted now that school started.  My brain is happy with something to challenge it again, lol.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good mornin', Carla and all the rest of ya'll.

Well I got my new left shoulder on Friday. My son dropped me at 5 and was able to get to work on time. Surgery went well. As I was coming out of it I told then they were interrupting my Facebook. Then I said, "mouth dry, no pain, gotta pee". Got settled into my room. The Dr. came in to say it was quite a mess in there and he did have to do the ENTIRE shoulder, ball and socket. So I'll be wanded everytime I go through security at airports now. They had given me a block so my entire left arm and hand were numb. I was still being given percocet and ES tylenol. The block wore off at midnight and OMG there was pain with a vengence!! But they gave me more percocet and all was well. I came home Saturday afternoon. I am taking percocet and ES tylenol every 4 hours, staggered. I have 8 PT exercises to do, 15 reps, 3 times a day. I take a pain pill before I start each time. I really have NO pain. unless I bump it, or move it in a way not acceptable for my PT!!! I can't drive as long as I am still takimg pain pills. My DH doesn't drive so for this week the Dr. will be sending a PT gal to my house.

My DIL is taking me to Han**** Fabric later to get fleece for quillows. Can't start them till I have better ROM.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

So glad you're on the way to being out of pain! I know you're not free of it yet, but at least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train!

Hugs to ya

Yeah, I get wanded too when I go through security for my knee. They also pick up my bra straps (didn't think there was that much metal there). Luckily, Monroe is such a small airport it won't take that long now to get through security if I decide to fly out of Monroe.

Glad you're done with surgery. I had a nerve block for my knee replacement too ... a good choice. And had PT person come to the house since I live alone and didn't have anyone to take me to PT.

Take care of yourself, keep taking your pain meds before PT so you're not in pain during PT ... that's what's really important.

I'm sorry to hear that things have gotten so bad between you and Michael.  I understand.  Sometimes too much is just plain too much.  The decision must have been very difficult.  My thoughts are with you.
