I had a wonderful time with the grands. DIL pulled some of the same old, same old, but didn't let it dampen my enjoyment of the grands. It was great spending time with my Mom too. She came with us and shared the hotel room.
Running around with the grands is a great exercise program. I lost a few lbs. I forgot to water one of my outdoor hanging plants and it's not looking too good. Oh well, it's the end of the season anyway. It's time to do the last weeding of the summer too.
I'm hungry and it's not lunch time but I will go fill up on water right now.

carla-and carl--i truly am sorry to read this-in a mixed way- i know the suffering she had gone thru and the poor conditions she allowed her life to sink to...i pray for carl to have peace now.

Today is my Monday and WOW...hardly time to check in here this morning!!
For a weekend I didn't have much planned it was go go go from Friday thru Monday night. I am exhausted but had a great time!
Nic (grandson) entered his refurbished 1970 VW Bug...Lime Green...in a car show this weekend. There were over 300 entries....he came in at 3rd place in his class. He got a huge trophy and is so PROUD!!! What a great young man...if I must say so myself!
I need to get back to work....prayers to so many in need...extra special one for some!

I'm glad you are at peace and safe. I won't be sure about anything until 7 p.m., though. I'm glad you're at work for the day, though.
I have my own little drama playing out. I have an energy bill to pay; With rent this week, I just didn't have enough money to pay it, and when I got the disconnection notice, I figured I'd do what I usually did with these things ... just call and get a week's extension. Well, they wouldn't allow that. This is the first utility that wouldn't wait a week for the bill to be paid. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't have the money; after paying rent, I paid a few other bills and got groceries and there just isn't enough left. I am not buying crap, let me tell you. I don't go out hardly at all. In fact, the cat really needs to go to the vet and I don't have money for that. Just don't know what I'm going to do yet.
OK, enough whining. I need to go out for cat food and litter. Scooter is peeing so much I need to dump the litter box again. I think he is hyperthyroid but I can't afford the vet. The litter box was such a mess yesterday, yuck! I hope it's just hyperthyroid because that's just a pill to administer; if he's diabetic, I know I can't handle that with him ... he wouldn't let me do what I had to do to Kittle (test him, ***** his ear, give him insulin, etc.).
I had a do-nothing day yesterday ... did laundry and hung a couple of pictures but otherwise watched baseball and took an hour nap, talked with my brother and mom. Gary said they had a nice relaxing weekend at my oldest brother's vacation home. Mom wouldn't go out on the boat, though ... she's afraid. Gary said he and Ed and my SIL Margaret took the pontoon boat out to this quiet cove and sat there complaining about mom and Margaret's mom (who lives with Ed and Margaret). I'm sure it was nice for both of them to have some quiet.
Well, I need to get dressed and get out to get cat supplies. Thought about a movie today but don't feel like sitting in a theater (there's a cheap one here, but didn't sleep well last night, so I think I'll just skip that). Need to pick up a few other things ... floss, small garbage bags, nothing fancy, some spinach for my salads.
Anyway, have a good day. Margo, stay strong and safe. You know we all love you.

Right now I have $30 in my account; they want all or they'll disconnect. I was singing the blues at Petco where I got this incredible deal (25 cents a can for really good cat food) and she told me to call LAheap, which is an energy assistance program. So it's worth a try. Don't know what else to do.
