i just got back from my Very 1st Consultation at My Surgeons Office and it went GREAT!!! now i need to get copies of my last PAP, MAMO, EKG (which i just had done in June) then go get New Blood Work, a Gall Bladder Untrasound, then have my Dietician Consult AND my Phychiatry Consult... Yaaaaaaay!!! i hope ALL of my Scavenger Hunt (as the Nurse put it - because i have to go find all these goodies) goes this well...!!! everyone was Sooooooo Nice!!!

Good for you. I'm always amazed at some of what they want now. I had to have the bloodwork, a sleep study, a psych consult (with their guy) and an EKG at their office. Then, after their office screwed up my insurance, they wanted to redo the bloodwork, the psych consult and the EKG; the insurance company wanted a stress test (which the surgeon didn't think I needed). They never asked for the mammo or the Pap, but they could have gotten those from my PCP anyway. Never asked for a gall bladder ultrasound; he just asked if I've ever had problems. I got out of the second psych consult because I was already seeing a shrink (thanks Dr. Den Houter); it was funny, because their guy said I wouldn't be a good candidate because I wouldn't be compliant. Yet the one thing he told me to do was to seek counseling, which I did ... so who wasn't going to be compliant? I still remember this back from 2003 because it sticks in my craw.
Anyway, I'm glad your process is going well. Stick with it, it's worth it.
