Guess What It is Sunday and I amn doing the work thingy
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
I'm watching the Bears-Cowboys game and the Bears are winning ... yey! At least one Chicago team is doing well. My White Sox are drooping ... they're limping to the finish line.
Well, two nights in a row and I made deadline ... the managing editor/interim sports editor and I did high fives last night. it wasn't easy, either, because all but one story for the cover came in late. Plus, my main photos came in too small, so I had to use two. Nothing's ever easy there. But I did it. I had everything done but the cover and the jump page by 11 p.m.; those two pages went out at 11:28 and 11:29 p.m., just minutes before deadline.
I called my brother Gary this morning for a change to wish him a happy birthday; he's 58 today ... they're all older than me, so I get to tease them about how old they are. He and my mom are going over to my brother Ed and SIL Margaret's to celebrate Margaret and Gary's birthdays (hers was Sept. 13). I sent cards with gift cards ... easier to mail. No other birthdays I have to buy for now until next year (I don't buy for my sister or niece, nephew-in-law or niece-in-law because they don't buy for me).
I think I need a snooze before work. So have a good day.
