It's Wednesday! 7 days post surgery
All is still good here. Had a full night's sleep last night. Gee it is good to be in your own bed isn't it. I have been catching up with emails and appointment making for the next few weeks and have received a few phone calls from friends.
I have had a protein shake, soup for lunch (clear vegetable) but my water is down a bit on where I would like to be. Will try and kick it up this afternoon. Will have a shake around 4 and soup again tonight for dinner and keep sipping.
I was going to try and not hop on the scales all the time. Just set a time and weigh once every week. Hopped on this morning and it has started. So I am on my way.
Have a good Wednesday everyone.
Jules
Nausea is a small issue at the moment.
Jules
Good morning', ya'll.
Jules, so glad to hear you are improving.
More rain yesterday. Now there is a big fat tropical front headed our way. High winds and more rain! We were down 10" for the year, but I don't think we needed to get caught up all in one week!! And it gets so dark and gloomy! Nice day to sit and crochet. Oh, wait...everyday is a good day to do that!
Our daughter and her family head to FL tomorrow. SIL and the kids stay til Monday and then I go down. This big ole storm could mess up those plans! I sure hope not.
Our son is on leave and itching to start gutting their kitchen and do the remodel they want to do. But with this nasty weather it's hard to find a dry place to put supplies while they rip out the old, and they were counting on meals on the grill for awhile. Once things fall into place he'll be trying to do everything after work and on the weekends (and don't forget hunting season, there are priorities after all). The good news is, I'll be feeding them meals here for awhile.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Jules, sounds like you are on track to be a great success.
Sybul, hope your pain can be controlled.
It's cooler here now - in the 60s but very humid. My knees and one shoulder are telling me the weather is a changin'.
I had a run-in with a bag of chocolates yesterday and they won. So today I am being especially mindful of my eating.
Going to dinner with a good friend tonite. Hubby is leaving Sunday for a building officials conference at UMass. Woohoo four days to make no one but myself happy. Then the weekend after I leave for 3 days with my sisters and cousins. 7 of us have rented a lake house in Holland Mass for the weekend. A girls catch-up kind of weekend with a trip to Old Sturbridge Village on Saturday.
Met an old friend I hadn't seen since 1972. We are going connect again. Love it.
Got to get back to work.
Hugs to all,
Bev
I have been BUSY at work and not much time, nor desire to be on the computer when I am not at work. . . there is a lull in the activity at the moment, so I thought I would jump in and post to say hey to you all.
Connie, I sincerely hope they get to the root of whatever is causing your daughter distress and in a hurry too! Prayers coming your way. . .
I got a call this morning and am sooooo excited, my younger daughter is coming up for a quick weekend visit, arrives Friday evening, leaving early a.m. Monday. She is surprising her brother and nephew, whose birthday's were this past week (her's was the 16th), as we are having a birthday party for 5 year old Vaughn on Saturday. I only wish I could take a trip to Florida to see my grandchildren who live there, maybe sometime soon, when I have some real vacation time. . .
So this evening Tony and I are going to meet up for dinner, pushing it up from Friday with the advent of my daughter coming to visit, he leaves on Sunday for a vacation with his friends and because there is dock work stopage, with a 72 hour cool down period, he can make the trip down tonight.
Anyway, that's my day and I am hoping you all have a good one! For those with less than good things going on, I wish you peace and strength to get through the tough times.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
