Going to bed disgraced
OMG. How am i going to fit everything in? I haven't. In fact the day just didn't progress well at all. I am staying up late just so I can finish my 750 ml bottle of water (nearly done). Will do better tomorrow.

Jules,
You make me smile! I remember feeling like I would never get the hang of it! Doesn't seem like, sip, sip, sipping, taking a few pills, drinking some shakes or clear broths should be that big of a deal does it? then there is the worrry about what is going in (fear of something getting stuck) AND going out (constipation, strange rumblings, loose stoolsl. . . ). I was afraid to swallow.
I had a Lap RNY so just had 6 TINY incisions. I didn't feel any different inside but I KNEW everything had been rearranged. Everything progressed so well for me that I kept waiting for something bad to happen! (But it never did!)
Hang in there. With each day you will get a bit more confident and before you know it this will be your new "normal!" You'll start to see the weight fall off. What a glorious thing that is!
Hope you feel more successful today. It helped me a lot to keep an insulated cup of ice chips and water by me all of the time. Some people have a hard time with ice water, but ice chips gave me something to chew on which I missed!

At first it can be so confusing as you try to develop a new routine. It will get easier - honest!
Getting in the water was a challenge for me too. In the morning I would fill a container with the necessary amount, put it in the fridge, and 'attempt' to get 1/2 of it in by noonish.
Keep water next to you at all times and keep sipping. You will get the hang of it.

now- do you want a hug and try again or a thwack across the top of your head????!!!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
