I saw a woman doing this on a show on Animal Planet. I always said I could make another cat from the fur left from Scooter and Nettie ...and sometimes even Diva, even though she was a shorthaired Abysinnian. Now, Juliette, she looks like she has longhair and would shed a lot, but when I brush her, there's not a lot of fur coming out. She is so soft, and boy, does she have a motor!

Morning Margo and my buddies,

It's my Sunday so I plan a relaxing day. Well, kind of relaxing since I plan on cleaning out my closet and then doing some shopping for some clothes. Some of the things I have are on their 3rd Fall/Winter, and it's just time. Drat....don't you hate that???lol

The weather is cooler here, too. Thank goodness!  Now the heater is on to take the chill off. What a difference in just a week!

Okay, off to do "stuff". Hope you all have a grand day!

Susan

Hi Margo and my OFF friends,
I've been MIA since I didn't have much to say.  I read the posts though.
Hubby is away at a conference so I get to do whatever I want. Woohoo.  Tonite is cub scouts.  Then I'm going to my sisters to have tea and catch up.
Susan, I need to clean out my closets of stuff I don't wear anymore and switch the seasons too.  First on the list is clean my bathroom.  Since it's dark in the morning now, I had to turn on the light this morning.  Boy does it need a cleaning. LOL.
Our son called last night just to talk.  That's nice.  We kind of stopped calling him because his wife makes it sound like it's never a good time.  My *****esn't like us.  I've tried killing her with kindness but it's starting to wear a little thin.  It keeps getting back to me that she has MIL problems???  We live 270 miles away and see them 6 times a year.  And she is telling this to my family.  Duh!  Does she not think they would not tell me what she is saying about me?  My sister is ready to tell her off because she and the rest of my family said I am close to a saint and this is her problem.  But I won't do anything to jeopardize seeing my grandchildren.  It's too bad really, I had such hopes in the beginning that I would have someone close to a daughter, since I only have one son.
Eileen, it sounds like Juliette is really starting to warm up to you. Love it.
Only 4 more days until I leave for cousins weekend.  Can't wait.
Hugs to all,
Bev

Good Morning!
I'm going back to bed after this for a couple of hours. My best girlfriend from childhood is coming to see me today. She lived across the street from me as we were growing up and we shared everything, even parents sometimes.  I'm digging out my old Barbies to show her... and a few other things. We actually grew up together- all the way through adolescence. Then she moved one way and I moved another, but we stayed friends through it all. My cancer, accident and recent scare shook her up, so she is driving over to spend the day. It will be fun.
Other than that I'm just taking it easy. I LOVED being in my own bed last night. I slept like a log.

Hi,
I am still in Chicago and am leaving sometime today to go home. I should be home by Wednesday.
It is cold here!!!!!!! I am freezing so going back home will be a blessing....At least for a week then I am going up North again for a weekend getaway.
Yesterday we went on a walking tour of DownTown Chicago. We parked the car at the train and took the el downtown Chicago. Walked around for 3 miles or more. We saw the new highrise building Trump Towers and residenses and walked the river walk. It was so neat to do that.
I also went window shopping at Macy's the old Marshall Fields.
Today I am gearing down to do some serious driving home!!!!!

Hi Margo and Friends,

Didn't get called to sub today but I have been busy. Like a duffus I didn't plant my carrots according to directions. Figured it couldn't hurt to plant the seeds a bit closer than the directions called for. Wrong! I spent hours digging out hundreds of little tiny carrots that are packed into the planter like sardines. Then I washed, sorted, peeled and cut them into little slices to put into freeezer bags for soups this winter. Way too labor intensive! Next year I will follow directions!

Spent some time cutting out aprons out of fabrics that I pick up in the thrift stores. Fun to do, very cheap to make, and it's hard to eat when I'm sewing!

Got a deal on stew meat and round steak so I've been keeping my FoodSaver busy. Love vacuum packing those meats. Sliced up the round steak into strips for stirfrying and made smaller packages of the stew meat.

Taking a break to watch and listen to Kenny Chesney on Ellen. Love his "Boys of Fall" song. Takes me back to those fall high school football games.

Margo, how's that new transportation system treating you? Well, we just have an hour or so of light left and I want to get some more sewing done. Breaktimes over!

Ugh! High School football ... since I've had to do sports again, it reminds me why I got out of it. Hate high school football. One of my old coworkers who's a photographer in Ohio was saying he hadn't gotten run over at a football game. I've gotten hit at a football game, rugby, field hockey (on crutches!), basketball (I was sitting in the stands and the basketball players came toward me, basketball hit the telephoto lens of the camera and that hit the bridge of my nose ... OUCH! I have many war wounds from covering sports, both shooting and watching. Most of the time on football, the guys just didn't move back fast enough so I didn't get hit. I think they like watching me get hit.
