Good morning Laureen & all. My son is still here & we are having a blast. Last night My DH & son practiced guitars.
I m so impressed at how good they are. My son has huge amps & 5 guitars. It was loud but great! Thank God we live out here where no one can hear them except the cows.
He will be leaving in a few days & I will miss him so much.He should be back for Thanksgiving & Christmas. I love having him close! Plus we can see Floyd & Brenda when we go see him.

I believe today  we are making wine. Never done it before, but have all the equiptment. It should be an interesting day!

Hi Everyone, I just got back from Arizona. It was 90 degrees. It was wonderful. In Nebraska it was 40 degrees. Yikes! Craft fair season is coming up. Lots of good ideas for christmas. Have a great week everyone. Mona

I am still upset from yesterday afternoon when I found out someone is getting prescriptions under my name using fake prescriptions....this happened last year too and the prescriptions were being charged to my Part D Medicare program -- got that resolved but nothing was ever done to catch the person.  I have a pretty good idea who it is, but can't prove it yet.  The person picked up a prescription at a Walmart yesterday, so I am calling them and asking that they review their security tape and send me a picture of the person so I can identify them.  They have it down to the exact hour and minute of when the person was there, so this shouldn't be too hard.    It's almost like being robbed -- I was so upset I could barely get to sleep last nite.

Otherwise, I have an appt with a local orthopetic surgeon (not the one who screwed up my foot) to have my right hand checked out -- it is very painful and sore, plus I have numbness and lack of strength in it, at times.

Back to work now - trust everyone will have a lovely day.

Pat,

That type of thing would make me feel creepy. Have you considered making a police report?

Hi Laureen and all my OFF friends,
Well today and tomorrow I have two dr. appts.  I will be poked and prodded in places that I don't want to be ~ gastroenterologist and gynecologist.  As a cancer survivor it is necessary though.
Hubby's cold is in his nose and throat.  He is miserable.
It's cloudy here so we should get rain shortly.  Half the leaves are off the trees already.  We had a really windy weekend. We had a dry summer so the leaf colors are not that great this year.  Our sugar maple that is usually bright red has yellow leaves this year.
Not much else going on.
Hugs and good thoughts to everyone.
Bev

Good morning my new OH friends!!  Today is nice & cool with sunshine here in the Outer Banks....nice day.  Today's agenda is refilling my DH & my medicine containers.  That takes a while because of all these vitamins we're both  on.  He had his RNY on 8/30 and is down, as of this morning, 40lbs.!!!  We're both so proud.  The other item on our agenda is going through some boxes that's in our storage...(major UGH!!!)!!  We got married this past July and combined 2 households.  We ended up renting a storage unit and our plans is to be out of the storage by nxt. month.  So, needless to say, we've been  extra busy sorting through stuff.  The wonderful thing about it is that the local thrift stores are benefiting.  Yesterday, after coming home from our eye appt., DH decided to go ahead and rearrange our bedroom.  We had talked & talked about it but that's as far as it got.  Well, he decided to surprise me and man did he ever.  I LOVE it.  So much more room!!!  Gotta love a good man.  I thank God for him daily!!

OK, enough rambling.  I'm laying our chicken breast for dinner tonight.  I'm thinking of baking them and tossing in some sweet potatoes in the oven then steam up some broccoli for a side dish.  Everyone have a blessed day!!

Good Morning Laureen and everyone....

I am having a lot of Fibromyalgia pain. All these temps changing so drastically my body can't handle it. It is going to be another rough day.

I worked almost 10 hours yesterday and will have another long one today as well. I am finally starting to get caught up after being gone most of last week.

I have a roast and veggies cooking in the crock pot for dinner tonight. That will be wonderful after a long and painful day.

Wishing you all a really awesome day.

Prayers for so many in need. I hope some of our missing people come back to post soon.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Hi Everyone,
I had a wonderful vacation! My back (for the most part) cooperated and I feel rejuvenated and hopeful that work will be doable soon! I didn't get back to California until 9:30 PM (12:30 Eastern time) but my husband was right there and I got home by 11:00. I went to Starbucks to say hi to my daughter who was working the overnight shift. I brought her a T-shirt and dog toys. And a big hug and kiss!  I was too wound up to sleep, but by 3 AM I conked out.  I have lots to do today- it's going to be 80 degrees, which will be quite beautiful. I have TOPS tonight. It looks like I lost a pound or two while in the East. I'm so constipated (TMI- yes) with pain pills and a change of my routines. If I can get that settled I'll show a bigger loss. Tomorrow is another MRI- the 3.5 hour torture chamber. Naw- I'll take 4 xanex and it will be fine. Hopefully this is the last one and the "cancer" word will be gone for GOOD! Oh- I quit taking the pain pills yesterday- I'm going to see how I feel with no drugs at all now. I think it's time to try it out.
Happy Tuesday! Kisses and Hugs!
