Good Tuesday Morning to Y'all . . .
I'll be thinking of you with positive thoughts to a good outcome that brings you back to the life that you are looking forward to enjoying. . .

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:
I had a bad day yesterday and today I'm back to work. Got an disconnect notice from Comcast and, like I usually do, called to make payment arrangements. Now, this has always worked before. You make arrangements, they give you more time. Apparently not in the South, I'm finding out. It didn't work with the power company and not with Comcast. I have been a Comcast customer for 11 years and they can't give me four more days? After arguing (as nicely as I could), the customer service rep said "God bless you" ... like that's supposed to help. I used my last paycheck all to pay bills ... didn't even get groceries ... just that $90 of drugs (with the $70 foam for my scalp ezcema). I get paid next Oct. 29. I can't even afford to go see the shrink, so I had to reschedule that. Anyway, I got off the phone in tears.
Poor Juliette, she didn't know what was going on. She came over to me with those big eyes, and I picked her up, and she sat on my chest and kneaded my chest (a little ouchy with her claws, but the purring was nice). Then she got down and acted silly, made me laugh. Wound up calling Mary Kay and talking with her later in the day; she always knows what to say to me.
Well, back to work tonight. Really not very rested; had problems getting to sleep ... so much for the $70 foam helping my itchy scalp, all it does is gunk up my hair (the dermatologist told me to get it right on the scalp, not on the hair ... yeah, have you ever tried to do that?) I wound up having to take a benadryl again to get rid of the itchies. I'm sure some of this is from stress.
The Rangers-Yankees game sure was fun. I'm sure George enjoyed it, too. Have a good day.

Hi Laureen & OFF friends,
Just got back from a trip & am exhausted! I spent many, many hours in the airport waiting for my flight, finally got home at 11 pm PST (which would have been 2 am where I came from) and they lost my luggage!
The cabin in the last leg of my flight must not have been pressurized very well, cuz I had a lot of pain in my left ear & when I blew my nose it was excruciating. I've never had that experience before. Anyway, all is well now & I'm back home!!!
As always, I seem to be somewhat reflective of my life after a vacation, and this is no exception. I am so blessed with wonderful family and friends. They say there is some kind of "clarity" that comes to you at 40,000 feet in the air & I think it may be true for me. The one thing that is clear to me is that I still need support in this wls journey --- after 3 years, the journey is not over, it's just begun.
I began today with a low-fat, low-carb high-protein drink & I feel great! Got lots to do & I'm ready to do it!
Wishing everyone a joyous day!
