Yahooooooo!!! my Surgeons office just called me and told me that Healthnet has Approved ME for RNY...!!! i feel just like one of those people that wins something on the radio...!!! i was Speechless...!!! all i could say was Thank You!!! Thank You!!! OMG!!! IM SOOOOOO HAPPY!!! thank you ALL so much for all of Your Help - Knowledge - Love - and Kindness...!!! i am changing from a PPO to a HMO so that Healthnet will pay the MOST for my surgery and i just took care of THAT paperwork TODAY... BUT it wont take affect until January 1st 2011 so they scheduled me for January 10th...!!! Yeeeeeee!!!!!

Congrats on your good news. This will be quite a ride. So just learn all you can . Ask your Doc. every thing you can think of. This site and all the people in it can help. Please follow all your Doc orders. Your next three years will hold some wonderful changes.Peg

Lileee, Why don't you tell us how you really feel? Just kidding. I remember the day my surgery was scheduled and how I too knew it would be a life changing event. I was afraid to hope for it but here I am almost 6 years later living life fully and loving it. Life still happens, it doesn't fix everything, but sure helps me to cope with it! Congrats!

CONGRATS!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!! Now hang on for the ride of your life!!! I am so happy for you!!! I remember how excited I was when I was approved, and now 4 years later I am 154 pounds lighter and loving it!!! My only regret is that I waited so long to get the nerve to have have WLS!!!! Again...CONGRATS!!!
