TGIF - It's Friday, What's New?
Morning OFF...BRRRR its cold outside here in Ohio!!! But then it is fall and winter is on the way...BRRRRRRRR!!!! Had some rain yesterday and in some areas hail/sleet. The trees are really pretty but the leaves are falling fast. The wind was blowing hard last night also. Had to turn the furnace up it was chilly in here.
Well thats about it for me today. Just wanted to stop in and say hello.
Hugs, Laureen

Jan, Just caught your post this morning. Boy' O' boy. Please get lots of rest, you and your Mom both .Ask for lots of help taking care of your Mom.
I f your mom has any pain in a joint area, have more xray's done. The only reason I say that is because when my FIL fell, the first set of xray's didn;t show any broken bones, the second set showed a broken hip. Not trying to scare you, just a up front about older joints and bones.Later, Peg

Pat...I hope you do not have RA....that is so painful. I am glad the person who was getting your RX's is finally caught. Some time should be served for that incident.

Today I will examine the sample ballot and review the canidates so I can early vote tomorrow. I also am tired of all the political adds, especially since the closer to the deadline the more mud is slung. Just tell me what you are about and let your opponent stand on his record.
I have lunch with neighborhood ladies today. It is a once a month thing. I haven't gone the last few months so I'll venture out today and join them. Have a good day and a fun weekend
So nice that you are back.
Hubby refilled the bird feeder and suet block yesterday evening. This morning it was covered with birds. I saw the red-bellied woodpecker. He is large and his head is red but he is named for the small patch of red on his breast almost between his legs - go figure.
I had to travel twice this morning to help our old CEO with his first teleconference with a new teleconferencing service. It worked out. But I need to call the teleconferencing service about a little problem.
Worried about my intestinal problems because all the symptoms fall under the symptoms for colon cancer. Hopefully, it's just a cyst or something benign. It takes so long to get scheduled for tests. It's frustrating. My colonoscopy isn't until Nov. 3.
Busy weekend coming up.
Ditto on Connie's email to everyone. My thoughts are with each of you in your struggles.
Hugs,
Bev
Sorry about your mom; glad she's all right. When my mom broke her pelvis a few years ago, the doctors didn't find the fracture until two weeks after the fall. At first, they said she was just bruised. But they went back in and saw swelling and pain, and yes, there was a hairline fracture. Don't want to scare you, just want you to know sometimes the breaks don't show right away.
My brother and I worry about my mom, especially now that he has been living with her and has seen how she is. We feel she has dementia. When he went with her to the doctor's office last week, he heard the doctor tell her to lay off dairy for awhile because of the diarrhea. Then the next day, she had a glass of milk with her lunch ... she didn't understand that milk was dairy. Even a 5-year-old knows that. It's probably good Gary is living with her, although she's driving him crazy.
And my sweet big brother bought me an airplane ticket home for Christmas (or at least the week before Christmas, which is the week I have off). I couldn't afford it ... had the week off, but couldn't go home. So he bought the ticket. Then we're going to drive back together ... he's going to head down to Dallas to see his son, DIL and his new grandson. I'm so fortunate to have Gary in my life. He knew how depressed I've been since I've been here.
Anyway, it's another Football Friday ... last night went OK. The youngest sports writer on the staff handled things and he had all the copy over so early, I couldn't believe it. Even with an extra page, I was done on time. He's my hero.
Well, have a good day ... it's 78 degrees here ... cooler and pleasant as far as I'm concerned.
I hope everything turns out all right with your Mom. It can be so hard on adult children when the parents get older. She does sound like a sweetheart, though. I know you'll take the best care of her that you can.
I just got home from volunteering at the local Food Pantry. Makes me appreciate what I have. I had people in today who have absolutely no income because they lost their jobs and they haven't been approved for assistance yet. Then there are the ones who show up every week just because they can. I'm learning patience. And tolerance. Both are hard lessons for me. But it's worth it when I see the help we're able to give those who need it.
I've got a big pot of bean soup simmering. Easy, cheap, and healthy. Smells wonderful.
Everyone have a good weekend.
Candy
Sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope everything turns out OK.
I worry about my Mom falling.
I am so glad it is Friday. It has been a long week at work, even tho I only worked two days.
Any plans for this weekend. I am going to try to get caught up on my house cleaning and laundry.
Hugs,
Dorothy
