TGIF - It's Friday, What's New?
THERE'S my Dorothy! I was waitin' for you! I fed my damn cats! They were a howlin' for food! I went to the grocery store first but the food they like was twice as much as at Target, so I got them a can to hold them over, then went to Target and bought two huge bags of their favorite Meow Mix... Now I have my Grand dog Sookie to watch... I picked her up on the way home. I hear her getting into mischief- WTH?

Julia, if I were closer, I'd give you all the canned food I bought for Scooter before he died. Miss Juliette likes it, but barely eats half the small can, and then she has runny bowel movements. So I'm back to just giving her dry food. I'll have to find someone to give this to. Can't have it going to waste.
I'm a cat food snob. After Kittle got diabetes, I switched to premium food (he wouldn't eat the food from the vet, but I found a high protein, low carb food that he liked and was good for him). I have since fed my cats Max Cat or Nutro Naturals. It costs a little more, but not as much as some of the other premium cat foods. Just like human diabetics, you have to watch the carb intake. It helped Kittle a lot ... brought down his blood sugar levels tremendously.
Glad your cats are fed and happy. And I'm glad you're feeling better.

Kittle used to like to shred paper towels and toilet paper too. I don't know how many times I had to hide the towels and TP from him. He was a character. Big gray tabby with green eyes and the Siamese voice and attitude. What a guy he was! I used to say Trouble was his middle name. He was 15 pounds, but when he became diabetic, he shrunk down to 8 pounds before we got his blood sugar under control (it was up to 700 at one point). Sweet cat ... he would let me do anything to him ... give him insulin, take blood out of his ear, and purr all the while.
