G'day Everyone

Hi Everyone

Seems like I don't have much time to hop on the computer these days.  I still hate fulltime work.  By Friday I am absolutely exhausted. I am missing the police station I used to work at part-time.  It was a much friendlier environment.

I am going to be doing some relief work at another police station for a couple of weeks where I will be doing front counter which always makes the day go fast and is more interesting.  A completely different role.

The weight is still coming off although a little more slowly.  It's great. Everything seems to be going quite well at the moment although I am still struggling a little with my liquids.  Some days all is good and then all of a sudden it's like someone put a plug there.  So then I just go back to sipping and sliding.

I have already met my first goal which was 20 kgs by Xmas.  Now I am hoping for 25 kgs. I have had to go out a buy a few pieces of clothing for work which is nice.

Had a couple of mini wow moments this week.  First one was when my hubbie noticed that I had crossed my legs.  I haven't been able to do that for a very, very long time and I was doing it unconsciously.  The 2nd mini wow was...damn I hate getting older...it will come to me later!

That's pretty much all for me.  Starting to plan things for Xmas.  All the family will be here this year.  Ordered my pork (rolled and stuffed loin), a mallee roast (beef..you might call it a rib roast) and prawns.  I am hoping that hubby will catch some nice fish and that I can have a baked fish as well.

Have told the family there won't be any fancy food because I am working the whole week before Xmas and don't finish until 4.00 pm xmas eve.  Everyone is okay with that fortunately.

What is everyone else planning for Xmas?

Bye for now.  More news next week.

Jules

Morning Jules!
Congrats on the weight loss! I know how good that feels! Everyone will notice at Christmas!
My husband's family will be here for Christmas, but it will be a week early. Then my family is going to be at my brother's house the day after Christmas. I'm having a big Bunco party here on the 10th. I'm hoping for a big group. I haven't decided on foods yet. We'll see...

Sounds like you're doing great, Jules. At our age, the weight comes off more slowly. Don't despair. Just keep doing what you're doing and use your tool.

Your holidays are coming together well. I'm going back to the Chicago area to be with my family the week before Christmas; we get together the Sunday before Christmas because there are so many splits (divorces, etc.). Unfortunately, my sister doesn't do anything very WLS-friendly at all. She gets sub sandwiches, and not even whole-grain bread (and she should know better ... she has done Weigh****chers for years, lost her weight that way and kept it off). But it will still be great to be with everyone again. I missed them all at Thanksgiving.

Hi Jules

You brought back memories....I think the one WOW moment that caught us all by surprise and delighted us as well was the crossing of the legs.  Its the seemingly small things that really make a difference.  Others were being able to walk around the grocery basket while in the check out lane.
Then, of course the never worrying about being able to buckle the seat belt on a plane. Enjoy the moment, others will come savor them all

jules, the crossing the legs was monumental--however i still am intrigued by the whole collar bone thing!!!  i still , now 6 years out, find myself rubbing my collarbone like i just found it!!!!!

your job sounds interesting......

holiday dinner- will be at my mom's- not sure yet what my part will be......with my kids and grands all 500+ miles away ; it won't be filled with them.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
