Eileen when I use the vicodin it puts me into a three day fog...if I am home its no big deal but working I can't chance it...just makes me mad they had to take darvocet off the market!!!

Try a blanket or two on the bottom of the air mattress to see if that helps keep you warmer while you sleep.

Hugs

Good morning Laureen and everyone.....

Laureen you always seem to have so much going on......good for you. It is best to stay busy! Sorry about your toe....OUCH!!!

Karen C........I love your sweet little Hannah and Clara stories....I can just picture the two of them decorating that gingerbread house....so sweet!! They remind me so much of my Gracie.

Nan....I gave up shopping. I have too much pain and  the harsh weather is so hard on my lungs. Everyone gets cash...which they all prefer anyway. Jamie takes the money and gets gifts for Gracie from me. I will be with them on Christmas this year.
The thing I miss the most is the gift wrapping....I used to just love doing that!!  I did mine and my sisters families and a couple of friends too. Everyone knew I enjoyed it so much and they didn't....worked great for all of us!!

Margo....you are FREE....YAY!!!!  I love your story of your grands and their gingerbread house too...so sweet!

Grammylew.....sorry for the loss of your families dog. That person should have stopped and helped....shame on them!!

Eileen....glad you made it  safely to Chicago.

I can't remember who else I was going to reply to....I need to take notes.....LOL

I am going to try to write out a few Christmas cards this morning.....can't do them all......sorry about that!!

Have a wonderful day everyone. Many prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Good morning everyone

My computer is working, I'm psyced.  Was afraid it might have had a visit from the gremlins last night.

I am FREE from the obligations of the season.  Through with performances, gifts bought, boxed and shipped.  I am starting to pack my car with gifts for get together in Louisiana.  I will leave Monday and just visit with my Mom.  I hope to take her to see Christmas lights in Lafayette.  A few of the subdivisions there go to great lengths to decorate.  One of the more wealthy areas seem to compete with each other which makes for great viewing and traffic jams.  I am serious, you can't believe their yards.  Mechanical scenes at each home.  One has angels flying around a huge oak.  Another has a carosell.  There are Santa sleighs being pulled by alligatiors and I mean really PULLED.  I haven't been there in a few years and I'm hoping the economy has not affected the displays.  It's magic.

On the 26th  ( my birthday)  my daughter, SIL, and grands are coming.  I hope to put up a small tree for them.  I have a few little gifts and then I have an electric motor cycle for each of them.  AI had them shipped to my brother and he has them put together and charged so they can ride them as soon as they want too.  Can't wait to see their reaction.

It seems we all like to see Christmas through the eyes of small children.  what a great feeling.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, peace, love, and strength.

Congrats to all on staying the course with personal battles.
Prayers for those whose are dealing with health and other issues.
Love ya all

Hi Laureen and my OFF family:

I'm ccccold this morning in Chicago (well, Franklin Park, near Chicago). My mom has the TV cranked to the highest volume level. Can't hear anything else. Have to shout to talk to my brother. I think we'll all go deaf now.

But it's nice to be in the bosom of my family anyway. I gave my mom her Christmas present; I have to wrap Gary's ... wish I could give him something more, he's been so good to me. Maybe later in the year.

My body hurts so much today ... the cold isn't good for it. Plus, sleeping on the air mattress doesn't help. I was so cold last night I have to get an extra blanket for tonight.

Not much else going on ... Gary and I going out shopping, I think, later. He's spending, I need to get shampoo.

Have a good day.
