I am in!!!!! But I have a question or two.

Hi all,
I am gonna do the 5-day with Susan and all the other mates! I want to thank Susan for the really good instructions for the 5-day test. I haven't seen it explained that simple and easy before, however, because I always have questions, I have a couple.....

On day 1 and 2, liquid protein, is that only protein shakes? No soups, jello, etc??? And for the protein shakes, can we use 1% milk or do we have to use water? What says you all?

I've not done this before either but..... my trusty cohorts in this part of the country have told me to use water in my shakes. 

I'm planning on bouillion for tasty...

I don't think there is any getting around it... don't add more calories ... SF ain't Calorie-free.

And we all know it's about portion control, too.  Right?

that's the best I can do.  I've already gotten up this morning mourning my half and half...

I am crying over my morning toast. Gee, wonder how I gained weight.
I have fat free chicken broth at work, and I'll have a protein drink with water. I have to admit, I am having my first protein drink with 1%, but I won't anymore.(already had it made before I saw replies from you and Susan) Maybe that's why I didn't do so hot last time I tried this. Yeah, I'd stick to water in the drinks. I think a big part of this 5 days is to rid yourself of carbs, and milk won't be a great thing then.

I stepped on the scale this am, wasn't going to but even tho the number was highest it's ever been since getting to goal, I am going to use it to motivate me and not depress me.

No, may the force be with YOU!!  You can do this Cheryl, just remember what you did right after surgery. It's not that different, after all. You did it then, you can do it now. It's only 5 days which will lead to 360 left for a successful year!

Yes, I do Karen! Alas, those days were much easier than "these" days. I am at work and doing OK. Will have a water and protein shake here in a sec. I think you are right about not having to make so many choices on this. Even the time I tried to do it, I had too many choices so I do like how Susan has given us this plan. Very simple. Toot Toot to you toot!

Back to work now...I'll check in later tonight and tomorrow morning.
