Good Morning Margo, those to come,

Cars are just one of those things, that can drive you crazy, but then again it was a man who invented them. . .  lol

I've been up since 4:30, as I guess my body is very well rested, as for the past 4 nights, I've gone to bed before 11 and slept pretty much until 7 a.m., very unusual for me, but I'll start this first workday of 2011 well rested, which will be much needed as I have a full day ahead, workng 8 to 6, then an AA meeting, as a friend of mine is chairing a meeting for the month of January and she and I are going to the gym afterwards, as I am finally keeping my word to join up and get back to business and she has promised to meet me at least 2x a week, just so I have someone to be accountable for the initial restart, she goes regularly, so it's no biggie for her and she has been one of my allies as I've been on this journey and so I renew my journey.  Probably won't be home until 9 p.m. or later.

That's my plan and I hope that whatever is yours it will be a good day!

Prayers for peace and strength to those of you facing challenging life experiences.

Hugs, Laureen

 Margo !!!!
Nice to see you back.  Darned cars..they are not worth the money we spend on them !!  I think they are made just so we HAVE to spend money on them!!!
Hope you are having a better time.
Back to school for me this morning, vacation is officially over.
I will be glad to get back tho..I have a profoundly deaf student that I work with..she texted me at least 3 times during the vacation just to see what I was doing !!!  Cute !
Just recently found out that I am sensitive to corn and corn products..it just keeps getting better and better..shopping now takes me HOURS to read labels and find which foods will trigger it and which ones won't.  I'm learning so much its almost overwhelming and my brain is tired.
Well as you said...I'm off to get "gorgeous" for the day.

  (((HUGS)))) and prayers...

I am so jealous.  All of you talking about back to work.  And here I am on day 7 of 11 straight.  But I guess my paycheck will justify it.

Played a lot of Bejeweled 3 last night, while reading a book.

Last night was unique at home.  I watched a couple of football games.  After that I flipped around the channels until CSI Miami came on.  Then Mary and I laid there watching TV together.  And it was not a DVR'd show.

My latest series to DVR was The Vanilla Ice Project.  Pretty good.  He is in real estate now and he bought a 7000 sq foot mansion for dirt cheap and he is turning it over.  When he went in the house  you could tell why it was dirt cheap.  The previous owner was foreclosed on and took EVERYTHING.  All the sinks, all the appliances, all the cabinets.  I mean they gutted the place.  Each show is 30 minutes and shows them fixing one room.  Then it gives you the total to repair that room.  Pretty interesting.

Ready to head on  home and get some sleep.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good mornin', ya'll.
Cars - we once owned a used car ( actually a panel truck), that died all the time when I had to stop at an intersection. I was forever having to pu**** to the side of the road with kids in the car. No cell phones back then. I declared then that I didn't care if we had to rob banks NEVER again would we own an unreliable vehicle.
Spoke to my Sis on Skype yesterday. With fiddling by both of us, we got our sound working. Before, we had to talk on the phone and watch each other on Skype. Also she got the user's manual I sent her and she was able to figure out her Kindle! I know she is electronically challenged, but I have never met 2 men (her DH and her son), that are even worse than she is!
Today is back to work/school for our DIL and grandson. The other grandson goes back next Monday. Sooooo, since I should have hours of uninterrupted time, I will start my pirate Halloween costume. It's gonna be a challenge. But I love a challenge!
Everyone have a fantabulous day.

I've been hibernating.  It was a jammies only weekend. Read, crocheted, puttered around the house, and napped. How perfect.

Tom's new BP med worked too well. His BP bottomed out and he scared me. Honestly, his health has scared me. I can't wait until Thursday when we see the doctors. WE, will see them together. No way will I sit quietly in the waiting room while he minimizes the symptoms.

A support group member called me yesterday. She had WLS last Tuesday and was in a tizzy because she can't get in all her protein.  I explained the slow progression, and after a long chat, she felt better.

Good morning Margo and my dear OFF friends!

Margo, there's very little that's worse than car trouble. Hopefully all this will get worked out and fixed and this will be a little glitch in the start of a better year ahead!

Today is crazy for me. Ten days until my plastics and there's so much to do I don't know where to start. So, I decided to start here!!  LOL

There's a load of junk in the back of the truck which I will add to today, then make a run to the dump, then the grocery store, WalMart to buy the paint to finish up the construction project, then back home to do the usual day off chores. I've planned a lot of meals that I can double up and freeze extras so all Gary has to do is reheat while I'm unable to do much.

Okay, off to set sail on the SS Neversink. Hope you all have a grand day!!

Hey Margo and all,

I am spending the next week getting ready for the spring semester.  I am teaching a class that I've never taught before, so I have to build it from scratch.  That means, from syllabus, to paper assignments, to day to day lectures.  So, while I am off for a little over one more week, I will spend every single day getting ready for the semester.  The book that I am using is really a pain in the butt.  Next time I teach this class, I will use a different book.  Other than getting ready for the new semester, I am doing a little house work, some furbaby petting, some research, and that sort of thing.

Hubby and I went to see the new True Grit and loved it.  This version stuck closer to the book and I always like the books better than the movies, so when one is close to the book, I vote yeah.  I think we may sneak out to see the Focker movie tonight.  Go****'s cold here.

I hope you guys stay warm and safe.

Jeannie, always so good to see you pop in!  How are you feeling these days?  I guess I haven't kept up on everything, but did you get to have your plastics?  Mine are 10 days away......nervous!

Glad to hear those students have such a diligent teacher. The world needs more like you

I have not had plastics yet.  I only recently got rid of the tube, but if everything goes well, which it is, I will probably begin this summer.  Plastics are contingent upon my schedule.  Hopefully, I will have a month this summer.
