Hi 'Ya Oldies......
Hi Butch
Not trying to run you off...quite the contrary! But since no one here responded as having the DS, thought I would direct you to the DS forum: click on forums, surgery type, the first one listed is your DS forum.
But no need to leave us! You are welcomed to join in and educate us! ;-)
Happy New Year and good luck with your research

Hi Butch,
I had a DS when I was 54. Have you had yours yet? Mine has been wonderful--it's the best thing I've done for myself. Before surgery, I had diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, bulging disks in my spine and collapsed ligaments/arches in my ankles. Now my diabetes is in remission and I no longer have high blood pressure or high cholesterol. I don't have pain in my spine and ankles constantly like I did before and my ankles can be repaired now. One thing I really like about the DS is that I can eat anything I want. I stop when I'm full. I don't have the cravings I did before surgery. I'm pretty pleased and looking forward to this new year! Welcome to this message board!
