What's happenin' on Tuesday?

Good morning, ya'll.
I finally called Sears yesterday to have them come out to take a look at my washer and dryer. Not sure if the washer isn't spinning the clothes dry enough, or the dryer isn't drying them enough. They can figure it out!
Cold again this morning. Back into the 20's. We had a few nights of 40's or so.
Today, off the Han**** Fabric for a little fabric. Then home to sew a little, crochet a little.

  Today is my busy day..I'm getting ready for school now.  This afternoon I have a hair appt., then pick up my granddaughter from her babysitter.  Run home..meeting with the chiropractor.  Each month he does an informational meeting about chiropractics, diet, nutrition, etc.  So I'm going to see what he has to offer.  Then home again ,,home again jiggity jig...sorry...I do work with Kindergarteners and other ages. That just popped into my head.
  Well off to finish getting ready..and I'm checking out my school's weight room today.  With the cold and weather here I have been unable to get to the gym the way I want..so maybe this will be an alternative UNTIL I can get to Ithaca again.

Good Morning Grammylew and all to come,

Heading out for my 2nd day back to work. Yesterday was very busy. Day 2 of the pouch test and so far so good.
Not much else going on...I have to wait to do any real exercise till I am done with the pouch test or at least on more substantial protein. I get very shaky and weak if I can't have some protein with a piece of fruit before I walk the treadmill.

Morning Grammylew and OFF family!!!

Well its not to bad this morning weather wise...34* and calling for some snow maybe less than an inch. I can deal with that...lol

Got the tree down last night and looks funny its so bare in the living room now!! Need to figure out what to put in its place. Maybe get a large plant? That would be nice there...hmmmm.

Tried this new stuff from AVON that puts some texturizing in your hair for "lift". I do not like it at all. Makes my hair feel nasty like its not been washed in a week!! EWWWW I hate for my hair to feel like that!! So I will just stick to using the hairspray like I have been.

Have to LOL at Rick's daughter. Seems she is having a hard time trying to find a job in florida because she is a felon. LMAO Also she is not finding anyone to take over her lease on the apartment she just rented. She is one mad little girl right now. Plus its up to her judge to say IF she can leave the state and go to florida anyhow. She has no idea IF she can or not yet. So its still up in the air. Just have to LOL at her because she just doesn't think things through. Even Rick is LOL about this. He doesn't think she is going anywhere at all. And if she does its not going to last. Have to wait and see. Gifts still sitting here waiting for her. Wonder if I should call her and ask if she is coming to get them or not? HAHAHA like she would answer her phone if I called her!! She won't answer it when her dad calls her nor does she return his calls!! Sighs.

Working today after the two messiest people there. Can't wait. Atleast I will have something to do I guess...CLEAN. Like I like doing that soon as I get there...yeah right!!! Seems they should be able to clean up after themselves don't you? I can do it when I work alone on a busy weekend so what is their problem when its not busy? Lazy...yuppers that is it!!!

Well nothing else to say so I had best get going. Seems all I do is complain anymore. Sorry about that.

I have been a support group leader for over 3 years. Most of the time it feels good. The majority of people are just like you and me. They follow the guidelines ... most of the time. None of us are perfect.

It still baffles me to hear brand new post ops tell about their food intake immediately after surgery. Examples: rice, burritos, chips, soda, cookies, etc., then complain that WLS doesn't work.

Last night, one woman explained that she compared the nutritional labels on protein bars and Snickers bars. Since the Snickers had more protein, that's what she eats.

Another woman is slowly starving herself to death. She is in therapy but still wasting away. At this point she has lost 23% of her muscle mass, plus been hospitalized several times for malnutrition. It breaks my heart.

I don't have a point, just felt like venting.

Makes you wonder how they got to have the surgery doesn't it? WTH...

I understand completely, Annette.......I had 7 ppl at group last nite and everyone had gained over the Holidays and were adamant that they had lost it all already.....I hope they are being truthful with themselves.....

I can't believe ppl don't listen to their dieticians!

Hi Carolyn and my OFF family:

Talked to my brother Gary on Skype this morning ... he is back from his travels and starts school next week (government is paying for him to go back and get training because his office was closed by AIG). He is getting computer training. I could tell his cat missed him because she was all over him.

I slept a little better last night but I had to put on the ceiling fan because I kept waking up sweating. Now, it's not that warm here ... Today, it's nearly 60 but at night it's cool enough. I go to sleep and after 10 minutes, I wake up sweating. So then I have to find a way to cool off... I usually get an ice pack and read for awhile. I'm getting a lot of reading done. At least I got up before 10 a.m. today.

Anyway, back to work tonight ... work three days, then have Friday off. Well, have a good day.

hi-it's bed time cuz i have to get up super early tomorrow but i wanted to jump in and say hi-tomorrow i go pick up my kitty....roxie still doesn't know!

good day off -got Baby rehomed- the blue and gold that michael took in before we moved from ohio-
mom and i are making plans to take ruby and chico to him in february-we'll drive half way...

did some shopping- wanted to buy a pattern at wally's--OMG--a Simplicity pattern for $8.95 !!!!!!!!! don't need it that badly!!!! it was for an 18" doll apron and dress---not even for me!

drama with my nephew and i am staying out of it--i am getting so i cannot tolerate drama at all!gimme simple!

there's a sign - i love it "Be nice or leave"!!!!!!

my cell phone got shut off yesterday-long story about friends and family and etc- anyhow- working on getting it caught up-

suspicions confirmed that michael is still lurking on here- ah well;it's a public forum and he has the right i guess.....

got a phone call from a wonderful friend last nite-second time she has called since brody went to the rainbow bridge last week- i'm really sorry that i missed her--tho she keeps such a crazy schedule  and i couldn't stay up to talk! anyhow- i hope she knows how important the thoughts are cuz it IS the thought that counts!!!

annette & pat --i have a cousin who just had RNY -she's in her 50's or 60's-anyhow- her mother had surgery too- i cannot believe some of the things she talks about on fb that she is eating-my gosh............i wanna smack her!!!!!!!!!!

thoughts are really scattered tonite- fragments here and there-well- off to bed
