Weather Thread...It's wet, wet, wet over here
Hi everyone
Once again it seems like ages since i popped in. I suppose you have all seen the news reports of all the flooding we are having over here in Australia. Fortunately for me the flooding is about 3 hours north of where I live. It's the biggest floods they have had for a long long time. So far I think we have an area the size of Texas under water.
Whilst we aren't getting the floods here we are getting the rain....still. I am so over it. Because it is hot and steamy we have to keep any eye out for anything going mouldy. Mmm, very over this weather.
So how is the weather with everyone over there and how are you coping with it?

HI there,
I actually have cousins in the flooded area of Australia. Not exactly sure where, but I'll ask my other cousin in England just where they are. She had asked me to send prayers for them.
Unseasonably warm here, in the high 60's. We may be getting some rain/sleet/snow next M-W. As long as the roads are good for Wednesday morning to get me to the hospital for my plastics it can do whatever it wants to do!!!!!!

Hey Jules
Glad you are not in the flooded area. I saw last night on TV that they are now having to deal with snakes and gators. sounds like south louisiana. we are having beautiful weather in the 60's but that is about to change. should have cooler weather this weekend with a chance of rain. Monday - Wednesday we will not get above 40 and then we could have highs in the low 30's with lows down in the deep freeze. that is south east texas for ya. a roller coaster. by february we should be mostly cold.
being from the gulf coast i understand hot and steamy. never have gotten used to it. it is just utterly miserable. that is why i want to spend summers in a cooler, dryer, climate when we retire.
stay a dry as you can. this too shall pass.

Hi Australia....I'm in the supposedly sunny state of California..but haven't seen too much of the sun for several weeks now. Northern California, where I am, is pretty socked in with fog, usual for this time of year. We either get fog or rain with a bit of sun thrown in occasionally but when it does shine, it's cold but so nice. I hear Southern California is still suffering from rain storms and possible mud slides caused by the fires they had last year. Some beautiful and not so beautiful homes being lost in the process.
I heard about the snakes and crocks coming into populated areas...yuk to both! Hope you stay dry and safe!
