Which Protein Powder?
Morning OFF! Now I realize it is 10pm in California, and since most of you are on the east coast, you all are in bed as I write LOL I figured if I wrote this tonight, you all would wake up to my question first thing ;-)
What protein powder/shake do you use? I currently use IDS Whey Protein Isolate but have recently been advised that what I really need is a Protein Blend, such as Champion Nutrition Pro-Score 100 or Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex. My mind is swimming with all the products out there and some have high protein amounts but the sugar or calories defeat the purpose.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to increase my protein intake and the shakes were suggested as a supplement.

Hello Nancy....I can't tolerate any of the protein powders....they all have a bad after taste to me.
If I do need to have a protein drink I use "Boost Glucose Control High Protein Drinks". Mostly I just get all my protein from the foods I eat.I do occasionally have a "Pure Protein" protein bar. I never have a problem getting my protein in.
Good luck....hugs....connie d

Hi Nancy, I go back and forth between two powders so I don't get too bored. One is Syntrax Nectar. My favorite flavor is lemon tea. The other brand I use is powdered Muscle Milk and I rotate cookies'n'cream, peanut butter, and strawberry cream. I'm not sure about the Nectar but I have a feeling Muscle Milk has more sugars in it than you'd want. :)

Walmart has the Pure Protein bars that have very low sugar and mega protein . I eat the Peanut Butter Chocolate one that has 190 calories and i use it for a snack between meals. I am 7 years out and could NEVER do the powders ...NASTYYYYYYYYYYYY to me yuk ..
I always got mine from food ,eggs cheese , meat etc .. I eat the bar now as I exercise every day and as a snack for energy in place of junk food between meals ..
They have lots of flavors but the PB chocolate is the best to me . They also may have different sugar levels so read the pack..
Have a great day

For me it is Champion Pure Whey Chocolate Protein Stack. I order online from allstarhealth.com. I get 2 five lb containers for the same shipping cost. Each container is about 70 drinks and I think it works out to about 60 cents per drink. Don't quote me on that as I haven't figured it out in a long time. I like it, it isn't chalky and I've used it for 6 years. you can get sample sizes of many drinks from vitalady.com to try. I recommend that.
