TGIF - What's NEW?
Mary...I will be moving there to help out my daughter and to take care of my grandchildren.
My daughter and her husband are ending their marriage. My daughter will have to work full time. I will need to be there to take care of 4 year old Grace. Nic is now 17. However, if you remember he also has a cancer that there is not a cure for. He has had it since he was 3. They go to St Jude's for testing and such. Most all kids with this cancer die in their early 20s. Again...Grace will need me. I am blessed to be living with them. Spending time with all of them will be just wonderful.
I sure will miss my other MN grandchildren as they come here and take turns staying with me. They always want to be at grandma's house. Now we will be a little over 3 hours away. I will still be sure they come to visit....it just won't me quite as easy as it is now and they won't be alone with me. They live in Minneapolis and Bloomington.
I have to quit my job when I move...I won't be working....I do get Social Security Disability so I will have some income. My daughter said taking care of the kids will cover my costs as far as food etc. goes. No rent to pay either. I will be fine. I have no debt....my car is paid for.
This is God's plan for me...I feel it in my heart.
I will miss all my wonderful MN friends and my very BFF Pam....and my sister too of course.
I will continue on OH/OFF and of course Facebook.

You are a sweetheart...I miss you already!! Sometime when I come to MN to see my family I will have to see if we can get a coffee group together or something.

Thank you for the explanation, Connie! Seems to me you are doing what you know is exactly right. Every decision, every path in our lives lead to new adventures, challengies, and opportunities. May this love-filled decision be everything you want it to be. And may the rewards far outweigh the downsides in this phase of your life. Take care and keep in touch. We will always be FB buddies and I would LOVE to come to a coffee you are at.

Morning OFF friends...I'm finally getting to see a sliver of sun!! Yeahhhhhh ^_^
I took a vacation day from work so getting a wonderful 4 day weekend. Yesterday was my b/day and I admit I caved somewhat in my eating discipline...no cake...just chocolate Reisens; sometimes I'm my own worst enemy :-(
DH and I are going to run some errands and then go to Olive Garden for a belated b/day dinner. My MIL sent me some money so it will help pay for the pork I intend to order LOL Need to pay some bills, work on my crocheting and hem some jeans. Probably should also throw the bedding into the wash...but I've got all weekend to tackle wash/dry issues.
My Trudy girl(chahuahua) has been watching me like a hawk; she seems to know I'm not suppose to be here..so I know she's hoping for an early walk..which if the sun does come out, we'll go.
Well, that's it for me...time to cook a couple of eggs and maybe some turkey bacon...will consider it breakfast/lunch..oh, yeah..we call that BRUNCH LOL

Just a quick hello- I'm on my way to Toulumne for the long weekend. A friend has a cabin there- six women are meeting to scrapbook and make cards. It's a fun thing to do... women laughing, talking, eating... sound familiar? We'll hit the Indian Casino to gamble too. The weather should be perfect- about 70 degrees. Don't be jealous now... :)
