Good Morning Debbie and OFF;
Today I'm slowly getting up and moving. I'm still on vacation from work and supposed to have the entire house packed up by now. So far I'm getting there. Was supposed to have a dentist appt. this morning at 9am but they are pushing back all appts. due to today's weather. So instead of getting up and working on more packing as I should have I stayed in bed a few hours and rested. My appt. has been re-scheduled to 2pm so I now have time to take a walk on my treadmill and get some more packing done before I have to leave the house.
Nothing planned for today other than the packing and dentist.
For all that are traveling today be safe...

Good morning Debbie G and everyone...
Loved my four day weekend and having my family here. It is just way to quiet here now. Miss all the chatter of my grandchildren...daughters too of course.
Now back to reality. A very busy work day for sure. Many clients to return calls and emails. OH FUN!!
Actually I really love my job and am sad that I will be leaving it soon. My boss and all the staff are just awesome people. I can honestly say they are the best I ever worked for! Makes me very sad to leave this job!
Everyone have a good day. Prayers for many today...special ones for Grammylew and Bev.
Love and hugs to all....connie d

I so enjoyed the MLK holiday off work. Long weekends and vacation time remind me that when the time comes to retire, I'll be SO ready! I'm sure I'll never be bored. For one thing, I'm so much slower than I was when I was younger!
I see my doctor - primary care - for a routine check up this afternoon. Wish I could be down further in my weight loss. Oh, well. I'm still proud and happy, even with being still overweight, I'm much healthier than I was. For one thing, the diabetes is so controlled. She likes that and so do I!
Michael is doing well. A year later, the dialysis is become more routine. We are still checking into kidney transplant. A long road ahead. I wanted so badly to get out of here for a bit, I scheduled some time to go to Atlanta in Feb. to visit my brother and family. Looking forward to that.
Hope all are well. We in Minnesota are chilly, but then we are more used to it than many of you! Take care, keep safe. Mary

So much going on in our OFF family. I planned to respond to each & every one but I am way behind today. Instead, many hugs to all.
We spent over 3 hours at the VA. The nurse almost had a stroke when she took Tom's BP. She called in another nurse, and then the doctor. They all questioned if he has been taking his meds correctly. He doesn't miss a dose.
Blood work was ordered and they are working fast to get him in to see a Cardiologist. The doctor gave a list of symptoms which would mean - call 911. Yeah, this is worrisome.
Last night at the support group I stopped "offering suggestions" and kind of lost it with two new post-ops. One admitted that she hadn't had anything to drink and almost nothing but Jello all day. The other had only eaten a couple of bites of toast. This was at 7 pm! They are both about a month out and say they feel horrible.
My most unprofessional response was "No **** Sherlock". Then went on to tell them the dangerous position they are putting thier bodies in and made them promise to call the surgeon and dietitians today.
I don't think I have ever done that before. Afterwards a few people patted me on the back for giving them a wake up call.
Stress has certainly put me in a snippy mood. But jeepers, why go through this surgery and not follow any of the guidelines? Makes no sense.
I am going to see the M&M's today. They will sweeten this mood.
Kisses

Hi Debbie and all my OFF friends,
I'm really scared for my hubby and other commuters coming home tonight. It is raining, the temp is below freezing. Ice is collecting on the trees. The roads should be a nightmare after the sun goes down. So DebbieJean I know your fear. I'm glad you made it safe.
I just checked the basement for water. It's dry so far. We have 2 1/2 feet of snow, rain, melting and nowhere for it all to go.
Grammylew and Susan, I wish you continued recovery.
Laureen, Itching can make life miserable for a dog. I hope your furfaced sweetie gets relief soon.
Tomorrow is my CT scan and Friday is the oncologist appt. for the results. I'm feeling better. Except for having to drink contrast for the CT scan, this is my week off from chemotherapy. I do have a third cycle of chemo scheduled to start next week. The steroids are starting to make my face and hands puffy. Darn.
I finished my second afghan for my grandson Morgan. It is green and taupe. The first one I finished for my grandson Wyatt is two shades of blue. Now I will start my granddaughter Sadie's lilac and yellow afghan. Then I'll do Tess's afghan in cranberry and rose. Our son has hinted at a fifth baby being planned so we are expecting to hear they are pregnant soon. They have spaced all of our grandchildren two years apart and Tess will turn two in September.
Today I get to go on-line and see a web cam of our grandsons taking their snowboarding and skiing lessons real-time on the slopes of Mt. Pisgah in Saranac Lake, NY. Isn't the internet wonderful.
My thanks to all of you praying and thinking of me.
Big hugs,
Bev

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:
It's rainy and gloomy here, but at least it's warmer than up where so many of you are ... it's 53 degrees. And now that I have my own personal furnace again ... God, I hate hot flashes and night sweats ... I get warm very easily, then cold, then hot, then cold. I thought I was all over this.
This weather is giving me headaches, literally. Woke up with one this morning and even after the Imitrex, still have one. This one has settled in my left ear. I have an ice pack on my neck and it's not helping. I will take my shower soon and hopefully, that will help. Sometimes sticking my head under the shower makes a difference. Right now, moving (such as getting up and walking around) makes it worse.
Linda, congrats on the new grandkid. Hope it's what you want.
I got absolutely nothing done yesterday. Didn't even get out of my jammies, absolutely lazy day.
Well, have a good day
