It's 12:20 am Saturday morning! What's New?
Hi Debbie and my OFF family:
Hope you stay warm today ... it's supposed to be cold in most of the country. It's 49 here and sunny but that's chilly for down here. I forced myself to sleep til 10:30 a.m. so I could stay up late tonight for work. I was pretty pooped yesterday after everything I had to do. I did a bunch of shopping and running around ... so I was pooped.
So what did I do? I went to Starbucks, reloaded my card, got coffee, to the bank, got money for my lawyer (still trying to pay off his fee to convert the bankruptcy), then to get blood drawn to check my potassium levels, then to Petco for cat supplies, then to Target (got myself my tax software and a new watch to replace the one I lost ... I like this one better ... I can actually set it, which I couldn't do with the other one ... I just have to get the links out to make it fit easier); then to pick up my prescriptions; then groceries and some wine. I was so tired, but I still had to do three loads of laundry (and mind you, my washer/dryer is actually outside in a room off the patio, so it's cold out there). So I did that, had lunch, watched "The Soloist" and the finale of "Medium" ... going to miss that show ... and went to bed and read until I started to doze.
Today, my body still hurts ... my back hurts on the right side and my necks hurts. I'm wondering if something else is going on (other than normal arthritis and fibro).
Well, I need to get in the shower and have lunch so I can get ready for work.
Have a good day.

Good Saturday afternoon everyone!! It's COLD here in the normally sunny Outer Banks of NC!! Snow is in our forecast this afternoon/tonight. Amazing!! Our little furbabies don't know what to think of that white stuff. Buster, my little male furbaby, held his "poo" for 2 days when it snowed the day after Christmas. I was getting a bit worried about him...lol. Anyway, the 3rd day I guess he figured poo or bust...lol. Anyway, just looking forward to Spring already!!
Yesterday, my daughter's surgery went well. She was an angel and cooperated well with the Dr.'s & Nurses. She's now 18 yrs. old and we never know her mood and actions. I explain everything that is happening to her to try prepare her the best that I can. When she woke up in recovery, her first words were, "it hurts" and tried rubbing her little eyes. Today, she's only taking Tylenol as needed for pain and is watching her movies and playing as if nothing has happened. The only sign are here eyes are very blood shot, swollen and bruised. She's such a good girl and I thank God daily that HE thought me worthy enough to raise this precious young lady.
I'm so glad to hear Connie that you're feeling better, Candy that you're moving around a bit, very well I might add, Monica in spending time with your gkids and their new blended family, Susan for your daily healing and getting better and to all others as your lives go on daily. I don't usually get into mentioning names for fear of forgetting someone but I have good intentions...LOL.
Everyone have a blessed Saturday and stay warm. My hubby is in the kitchen as I'm sitting here taking a break from laundry and he's making us a huge pot of chili for dinner....YUM YUM!! Can't wait.

You ladies are cracking me up today. Re: the runners in the run in DC. I think it might be a very nice sight indeed and I am perfectly happy and in love with my red headed Lieutenant Commander (well, now mostly gray headed.) But sometimes it does my old lady heart good to catch a glimpse of a handsome fellow. I have never been one to enjoy the Chippendale guys, but...those Marines running their manly hearts or whatever off might be kinda fun to see!!!
I am trying to do more than sit on the couch with my computer watching movies and shows all day. I did watch the final Medium, Eileen, and I too, am sad. I liked that show and hate that it's not coming back.
We are going to the Civic Theater tonight, I had forgotten what show it was, and Tom just told me it's Don't Dress for Dinner. In March we will see Nunsense. I have seen it a few times before and it's wonderful or Nunderful!! ha ha. There is Nunsense II and Nuncrackers (Christmas Nunsense) Has anyone else seen these? They are so funny and fun!!!
It is pretty cold here; our neighbors have a hot tub and I am soooo jealous. I just told Tom that if he gets a job around here we are getting a hot tub. He said, "OK."
Bev, I am thinking about you and glad to hear that the cancer is not bigger. Will continue to send positive thoughts and prayers up and out. Connie, you and your family and grandson are in my thoughts and prayers. Grammylew, glad to hear of your good news and you, and Candy and Susan, keep on healing and positive healing vibes continue your way. Excited to hear about Janet's cruise and hope she has pictures to post. Yes, where is Margo? I bet she's really busy with school and work and no car!
I have makings for my fabulous enchiladas in the crock-pot, so dinner will be a good one tonight.
Take care,
Cheryl
