Tuesday Morning! What's New?

Good Morning OFF!
Well yesterday here was pretty cold in the NE Kingdom of VT!  -22 was the score on my car all thru the drive to work.  This morning it is a balmy -8! 
I've been a bit off color the past week or so, some kind of stomach thing I guess.  Feeling better so far this morning!  Not much else new with me, but hey! What's NEW with you?

sorry you haven't been feeling up to snuff- i know you have some stresses there too with the new place-they can't be helping your tummy--

boss is back! yea! i missed her for two weeks! she  asked me to work today- which i will gladly- however i had planned on homework -typing- time today- it's all good- i will get it done tomorrow....psyche class tonite....

STILL no car--mine was not yet being worked on at 430 yesterday and the loan commttee needs to meet on the loan for the newer one- protocal- since i am an employee- so i will try to be patient til thursday- arggghhhhh --

a bit warmer here - but freezing drizzle now- ice scares the beejeebers outta me still- i fell what 17 years ago? it just will haubt me i guess!

don't really know anything worth sharing--mood with mom is tense-

Hey All,
Having my morning cuppa and watching my girls go crazy.  The little kitty that hubby and I rescued, well, we rescued her mother and her siblings and found homes for the mother and siblings, anyway, she is going crazy chasing a ball.  My big girls, who are quite overweigh****ch her and every once in a while will join in so maybe they will get enough exercise to get their bellies off the floor.  Today is teaching and then I am going to try out my new serger.  I have started sewing again because I just cannot afford buisness suits.  I teach in slacks and dress shirts and usually wear a jacket.  These items cost an arm and a leg plus toes and fingers off the remaining limbs, so I have started making my pants and jackets.  Anyway, I bought a serger to make the clothes look more professionally made.  My friend said, you will take all your previously made clothes and serge the hell out of them.  I will see.  Another advantage to swewing is nothing I buy fits me.  I am small, short, with all the skin, so, as you guys know, I need a little room here and a little less room there.   Oh, and I found a wonderful yarn store.  So, I am going to get the yarn for my granddaughter's poncho.  She wants a PINK one.  
Well, that's about it for me.  Teaching, researching, writing, and learning about the serger.  
If any of you use a serger and have any tips, well, load me up with the tips.

Yarn store?????? Do tell

I've been known to drive a long way for a good yarn store!

It's a fabric store that has a lot of yarn in it.  They have quite a bit of yarn and some really nice blends.  I am going back this weekend to get some yarn for a sweater.  When I have time to make the sweater, who knows.  

Good morning Debbie and everyone......

Today will be a day of just putting one foot in front of the other. My BFF stayed with me last night and will be with me today. I am so blessed to have her!!

My twin brother finally admitted to his wife that he saw my older brother sexually abusing me. I found this out last night. He was told too leave the room and threatened if he ever said anything to anyone. I knew he knew! I had vivid memories of my oldest brother involving my twin as well. Now things are coming out after the fool is dead. Why wouldn't anyone stand up for me when we could have all confronted him? Other family members  over the last few years told me things he did or attempted to do with them . They said if I said anything to anyone about it they would deny they ever said  such a thing. No one but my one sister ever had my back. Makes me very sad!

Thank you for letting me vent....I know this isn't a comfortable subject to discuss and maybe not even appropriate to be doing so. I just feel the need to get this out and I trust all of you so much. I am sorry and apologize if this has upset any of you.

Oh Connie, my heart breaks for you and, unfortunately I can relate on a personal level.
I once read a study that talked about the high percentage of MO women who were sexually abused as children. So, even though people may not speak of it openly, I'm certain there are many of us who can relate to your situation.

I'm so gale you have a therapist whom you trust and is so accessible for you.

Thank you Susan...there are way too many of us abused as children then we will ever know. Men and women. Many reasons that it never comes out. Not wanting to share, the guilt and the shame....on and on.

I am so thankful for my mental health team......I don't know where I would be without them...or maybe yes I do.
