Monday-what's new?
Hi All,
Nothing new here- it's recess. I can hear the children playing outside of my window. How can one be unhappy with those sweet sounds? I have been climbing on chairs and desks to put up bulletin boards. I know I shouldn't but I can't help myself. I'm trying to be VERY CAREFUL! My husband and I went to a movie yesterday- "127 Hours". It was very good- hard to watch as the man cut off his own arm. Boy did that look real. Only three more movies to watch of the TOP TEN nominated for Academy Awards. So far my top pick is "The King's Speech". My new dog is a sweetheart, but we have some jealousy with the Granddog- they do fine and then there is some aggression- some training and work to be done. Roxy is alone all day in the house for the first time today. Wish me luck! :)

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Dreary and rainy here again. It really poured yesterday all day. When I went home last night, it wasn't raining, but it was misty and foggy ... very eerie.
I'm off today and am trying to get laundry and dishes done before I go off to the chiropractor later this afternoon. Other than that, not much happening. No energy ... don't sleep well, then don't feel like doing anything all day. SSDD. Work is work, not the career I once enjoyed. At least I have Juliette, who always makes me smile.
Well, gotta empty the washer and put in another load. Have a good day. Sorry you guys up north are getting dumped on again. Don't miss that at all.

Good early afternoon everyone!!! I've been up and changing linens this morning. Thought I'd wash the fur babies blankets too while the washer/dryer was going. Never a dull moment...lol.
Today is writing out the bills to pay...can't believe today ends January!! Where did it go? Buried under all that snow maybe. Any who, I'm like the other poster who said maybe February will have Spring right behind it. It's major cloudy here with huge chance of rain. It's dark in the house...have to turn on lamps while typing. Or maybe it's my old eyes? lol....any who, it's cold & damp and my Fibro is rearing it's ugly head today. I've already taken extra pain meds to calm it down some. Decided today will be an inside day and get some things done. Other than that, nothing huge or exciting going on here in the Outer Banks of NC. On a good note, Rachael is doing great with here recovery from eye surgery. I'm SO proud of her. She's not rubbing her eyes which is a good thing. I just knew I'd have trouble with that when the Dr. told us to discourage that. I told him I'd do my best but couldn't guarantee anything. She can be a stubborn little mule at times....female in her I suppose.
Well, I'm off to toss another load in the washer. Everyone have a wonderfully blessed day!!!
Cindy

Morning Margo and OFF peeps
Only 45min to go and I leave this office for home. Gorgeous day today...fog burned off super early so have been day dreaming out my window thinking of spring and riding the scooter to work. Please note, I said 'day dreaming'...in reality I'd freeze my you-know-what off this time of year LOL
Going to miss my support group meeting tonight as DH and I have an on-line course we have to do before we see our attorney on Friday. I really enjoy the group but timing just isn't going to work. I'll be busy in the office for the next 10 days or so, closing books for January...and then take a few days off to go camping in our m/h with our wood carving group. That's going to be fun...celebrating one of the couples 50th wedding anniversary while we are all together...they're catering Saturday's dinner...unbelieveable ;-)
Well, I've dauddled enough..back to the calculator...hope everyone has a nice evening.
And Connie..once again...wonderful Great News about Nic!
Hugs

Thanks to everyone sending me thoughts and prayers. Just popping in while I'm feeling good. Not a good two days. I popped a vein on Friday during chemo and I paid for it after the steroids wore off. Yesterday and today I've been nauseous (taking meds. for that) and super tired and headaches. We caught the chemo just as it started to bubble up under my skin but it must have been enough to make me sicker than usual.
I've been sleeping a lot, so naturally now, I'm wide awake.
Tomorrow the bad weather starts. Hubby put our generator on the back porch. He started it up to make sure it would work. We are looking at a foot more snow, then the ice. The ice is supposed to maybe bring down some wires. We have the wood bin filled as well for the fireplace. Hopefully, there will be no damage to the house. The icicles are about 3 feet long in places off the roof. The temperature is 23 degrees.
My thoughts are with everyone else facing this storm. Keep warm and dry.
Hugs,
Bev
