What's New- Tuesday
Good Morning Sistas;
Not much new with me. Just waiting for that special day. Feb.28th. So far so good. We are going to Ottawa on Sat. will baby sit sat night so my grand-daughter and her husband can have a date. They have 4 children and they need a break. We will stay in Ottawa for my follow up appt. with my Dr. I had Nuclear Heart Testing last Monday. JUST TO MAKE SURE all is ok. Then we head back home. Hugs to everyone. Doris QC.

I hear ya about moms not taking care of their health. Until my brother moved in with my mom, we didn't realize how bad off she was. Now, Gary goes with her to her doctor appointments. He made her ask her doc about her hearing, and finally, she went to an ENT, who did a hearing test, cleaned out her ears and now she can hear so much better (she can turn down the TV so Gary can hear his TV). She does get her yearly mammos because she had breast cancer (a tiny tumor, but still ...) but she stresses out about her bowel movements (she farts everytime she gets up) and now she has to have a colonoscopy because she is either constipated or has diarrhea ... I really think she has IBS like me. Her last colonoscopy, they found polyps, so maybe that's the problem again. But after the GI doc told her she needed one, she put off scheduling it. She drives us crazy ... I'm glad I don't live with her ... I'd kill her in two days ... two weeks ... well, we get along better when we're not living together.
I didn't sleep at all well last night. I was so tired, too, and went to bed early, started nodding off early but then kept waking up. I had a bit of a sore throat off and on most of the day, and then a sore jaw from the dental work from getting my crown. Then my back was bothering me, too. I got up sometime about 6 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep, I was in so much pain. Finally got up and took a pain pill and read for awhile. Went back to sleep about 7:30 and slept until 9 when my cell phone went off ... still very sleepy today.
Back to work tonight, work for three days, then off on Friday again.
Have a good day. We're expecting 2-4 inches of snow here, so I'm sure everyone is going nuts.

afternoon all
stayed home from work today...just playing hooky..but I just can't seem to get it moving today. Fell asleep in my recliner at 7pm last nite, finally got up to go to bed at 10pm. Normal pattern of sleep is about 3hours, wake up, check the time, go back to sleep for 2 hours, wake up, check the time....well you get the idea. Yes, I do set the alarm but my body has a tendency to always wake up before it goes off...guess it stems from childhood...but would think as an adult now I would have 'worked out' the issues LOL
Hubby and I going to Sam's Club for a few things but other than that, no plans. Maybe a nap later this afternoon..but when I do take a nap, it tends to really throw off the sleeping later. It's just nice to be home..even if I do absolutely nothing productive but relax.
Time for lunch...thinking of those back east with a new storm coming thru. We have winds today but expect to be gone by tomorrow. Still cold..but nothing like what your back there are experiencing. Hugs to all!

Julia, I take care of my aging Aunt down here in Florida, so I do know what you are going thru with Dr appnts and such. But she is in good health other than her parkinsons.
I just got back from taking my 2 little cousins to Disney. They are both 4 and 3 yrs old. The 4 yr old is low maintanance but the 3 yr old was a wonderer. She was lost for about 10 minutes and about gave me a hear attack. Thank god she didnt get to far away from me and someone brought her back to me in short order. She told me she wanted to see the fire!!!!!. She was klinging to me after that one!!!!!!
I took my older cousin who is married and doesnt have kids with me too. We met cousins from Michigan who were here on a Disney cruise and had come back. So I drove over to Orlando for the night. I forgot how exhausting it is with kids!!!!! I think I lost 10 pounds woalking around!!!!!
