Finished Afghan, FINALLY!!
Carolyn,
I have a terrific support group. Which is good. My liver is my problem because there is too much over too much area to do a resection. I'm hoping the port feels better once it heals. I have a black and blue mark around it the size of a grapefruit. So that could be it.
The color yarn is Aubergine, which is French for Eggplant. Hubby says "looks purple to me". LOL.
My DIL is the same as yours. Unfortunately for me, I only have one son so she is it. She prefers money as well. I've given her enough things that she doesn't keep, that I've learned my lesson. So she does get money. She likes to do collages and homemade cards so one Christmas I got her a rolling tote for keeping scapbooking supplies in. I also got her a Fiskars shapecutter and lots of templates. When we needed to make signs for a scout fundraiser I said "bring your shapecutter and we'll do the signs together. She says to me "oh, you didn't think I was going to keep that, I gave it to my sister." I also gave her a lapdesk because I knew she wrote cards while sitting on the couch. Never saw that again either. I have four beautiful grandkids so we "tow the line" with her so as not to jeopardize seeing our grandkids. There are lots of deliberate things she does to us that we ignore. I have given it over to God when it comes to her. I'm so happy you have a wonderful DIL.

The cancer is what it is so I have to accept it and move on. I would love to try a new afghan pattern. But please don't go to any expense on my account. I can send you postage and copying fees. Or better yet, if you know of something interesting that is free on the internet, just point me to it.
Take care,
Bev
That is awesome. I would love the pattern. I have never tried something that complicated. You do beautiful work.
Hugs,
Trish
