Finished Afghan, FINALLY!!
So beautiful!
I crocheted my first afghan in 2010 - learned an easy but lovely pattern from a woman at work, and went a little nuts....I made 5 by that pattern for gifts. But as usual, didn't keep one for myself (yet!)
My goal for 2011 is to learn to knit a bit more than I know right now and eventually knit socks.

Carolyn (and Bev!) this afghan is goreous! My MIL reintroduced me to crotching back in Jan 2010. I've made many scarves and hats and several afghans, but all were fairly simply patterns. My problem is understanding the instructions! I would love to step out of my comfort zone if only I could understand what some of the 'shortcuts' in the instructions mean LOL
Beautiful work you two!

I am teaching my DIL. A very intellegent wonderful woman. Her books have instructions on what the abbreviations mean and how to execute each stitch. She has been making scarves and doing a fine job. She comes down a couple of times a weekend so I can show her. She says the instructions boggle her, she is a 'show me' hands on kinda gal. But, once I show her, she's got it. So far she is sticking to simple stitches and simple designs.
