What's new Sunday, February 20th
I think I will be sharing that coming storm with PAT AND NOT looking forward to it I want spring!
We took the 4 little charges out puddle jumping yesterday. You know seeing who can jump the highest and farther est over the puddles You know over the puddles!!! Ha HA HA little girls think it much more fun jumping IN the puddles! seeing who can make the biggest splash and who can get the muddyest!! Oh well so much fun was had boots spray off clothes wash and children sleep the sleep of the very tired!!
We are heading for church with angel Mary in a bit. Her church is honoring grandparents and Mary has no grandbabies so is borrowing our little trouble makers for the day.
Its nice to see many new comers. I look forward to getting to know them. I am not a prolific poster but am around.
PRAYERS going up from our house to yours.
Pat, good to get out early and then back in before the ice hits. That's nasty stuff, for sure!
Not much going on at the Higgins house this weekend. I worked yesterday and we're both off today and tomorrow. Gary made chorizo and eggs for breakfast this morning, even did the dishes! I'm a lucky gal. I suppose I'll do a bit of laundry and pick up some around here, just to keep up on things.
Got on the scale this moring and lo and behold I'm below 135, my pre-surgery weight!!! Yahooooooo. Going back to wearing the binder seems to be doing the trick getting rid of this fluid. Maybe I'll be able to wear REAL pants in the next couple of weeks. I have to say, wearing sweat suits (cute ones, mind you) to work has be ooober comfy, but it's time to get back to my more professional look. Besides, I want to go buy some new Spring duds that include short sleeved tops!!!
Okay, that's about it for me. Hope everyone has a grand day. Special thoughts for Bev and Connie, pride for Monica, and wondering where Margo is????

A quick good morning to you all, Erin, Hannah, Clara and Briley are here this weekend so it is rather busy. They are all still sleeping. Kind of the lull before the predicted storm. Looks like it may be warm enough to take them to the park for a bit today. Hope so as we were inside all day yesterday.
Lots to do to get ready for the trip as we lealve Wednesday morning. Probably won't get anything done until the kids leave tomorrow!
Hope you all have a great day.

Morning from a Cold and Snow covered High Desert in California. We have about a foot of beautiful white fluffy stuff on the ground for miles around. The mountain behind us is a mass of white. The pups are in with us , enjoying the warm wood burning stove.
Our plan for the day is to go to a 91 years old friends home, make him a nice lunch and visit for a bit. That will all depend on if we can get out of our drive.
Have a super day, Peg
AND ALL OUR HERO'S
We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow tonight. Ughhh. At least it will cover up the "snirt". Who came up with that word here? LOL.
Didn't have a good night last night. Cold and windy and I don't care how good our windows are I could still feel it seeping in. I had taken pain pills and a sleeping pill, neither or which worked. I was so cold I got up, put more wood on the fire, covered up in afghans and slept in my chair in the living room in front of the fireplace the rest of the night.
Going to a wake today of my nephew's grandpa who died of pancreatic cancer. He was going to the same cancer center I am.
Other than that I will be spending the day in crocheting.
Thinking of everyone facing challenges and wishing you success. Welcome to all the newbies.
Hugs,
Bev
Greetings from Louisiana, 76 degrees, sunny ... Monroe is cleaning up from Mardi Gras last night. I didn't get to see any of it. I had hoped a bunch would run out when the parade passed us by, but no one went out, so I didn't either. We got sandwiches and jambalaya brought in by the bosses ... very nice, jamabalaya was very spicy. I had just a spoonful of that and that was enough. I tried the chipotle mayo ... oh yummy! I may have to buy some of that, although I seldom make a sandwich (sometimes a wrap).
I'm feeling better today. I slept well; woke up once to pee but otherwise slept through til 10 a.m., best night's sleep in a week. Body still hurts but not as much as before.
Back to work tonight again. Not much else new. Have a good day. Hope the weather up north isn't as bad as they're forecasting. Stay safe and warm.
This has been a busy day for me. Pay bills, do laundry, go to the store . . . Trying to get everything all wrapped up and ship shape before surgery on TUESDAY!!! 48 hours from now, it will be a done deal for me!
Proud to report that I'm still in ketosis and I've lost 8 pounds the last two weeks. I may have avoided those shakes like the plague, but I must have kept within the guidelines pretty well. Tomorrow is my clear liquids day. I went to the store and bought apple juice. I can't wait for tomorrow morning!!!
I'll be packing tonight. We'll be leaving for Houston around noon tomorrow. DH and I will spend tomorrow night in a hotel. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Then at 7:30 a.m., my life will change forever. I'm so ready.
Hope everyone had a wonderful, restful Sunday!
