TGIF!! What is Going On in YOUR Life?

Good Morning, OH Family!

I had a busy day Thursday…a sleep-in…lol..because I was up too late the night before, doing art work for my poster.

After a quick & tidy-up kinda morning, dealing with phone calls (they put Mom in a puffer yesterday and the poor soul is getting bedsores on her tiny bony butt from sitting in the wheelchair all day, so that has to be medicated too... I headed to Queen Charlotte’s Tea Shoppe. In Niagara Falls, .an authentic English tea place to meet a good friend, Rosemary..not my USUAL Rosemary but another Rosemary…lol..how often do you have MULTIPLE Rosemarys??   Or is that Rosemarie’s?   This Rosemary owns a small woman’s magazine that covers about half of the province of Ontario.  We talked a lot for hours , personal stuff, business stuff, family stuff, as women do.  Then, out of the blue, she asked me to partner with her in the magazine!   She said that I could choose ANY title I wanted.  Needless to say, I was stunned  but understood that my advertising layout artist background could help her a lot. PLEASE don’t tell my hubby but, I said YES!  Ssshh! He will hit the roof about me taking on more work.   I brought home some of their amazing minced pies (lean ground beef) for supper. From there, I stopped at The Crystal Earth to buy myself a crystal pendulum and chain, then off to Penningtons to find a top to wear with my new skirt….it’s made of that slinky stiff, 6 goes so it flares elegantly down to my ankles and the colour is called FUSHCIA but it seems somewhat like rose as well in it and hard to match.  As I walked in (and they know me way too well in there- not to mention that my cousin works there on weekends), so I told them. ”.I am here to buy a top for my new skirt…nothing else!..  Do NOT let me buy anything else!”  . An hour later, I was packing my truck with 6 new pairs of panties, a pretty purple/white and black faux top(looks like two pieces but is actually one) that comes in at the waist then flares out again, accentuating the “hourglass figure”…lol, , a dark rose long cardigan-type of top trimmed in a wide strip of matching rose-coloured sequins…actually much prettier than it sounds…and a purple spaghetti strap type of camisole…and NOT the turquoise beaded necklace and matching bracelet that I stroked hungrily…..nor the purple set of amethyst choker and earrings….well, at least I refused to buy the beads.

Then to STAPLES- an office supply place…bought 2 file collapsible file boxes (plastic pink and purple ones), four smaller boxes to match for all my little stuff and bought a case of glossy brochure paper that I needed and got some copies done as well for JB…and also got him a new bottle of WHITE-OUT fluid…..he does sudoku puzzles every day…rarely uses the white-out but sometimes needs it now and then. Ah well, it keeps him quiet *s*

Also stopped at a place ofr health issues and bought Mom a small soft, round cushion (filled with teeny tiny beads) that shapes itself around whatever sits on it...hopefully that will help Mother's butt be much more comfy! Got home to find poor Derek barfing like a Wildman!   Apparently all his buddies have had the flu last week…looks like it finally caught up to him…..he is laid out flat....let’s hope the snow keeps away or he will have to take his bucket in his dump truck  to work. Oh, he is sooo sick, poor guy.  He took in a bit of homemade chicken soup….hours later, I convinced him to eat some yogurt to replace the good bacteria in his gut so that both ends will simmer done. Friday, I have to attend a business workshop starting 10 am til 4 pm..I also have a vendor’s table to sell my Mandala books..both in BOOK form and on CD. When I get home, I have to make soup for Mom and puree that for her as well.

So off to bed I go…enjoy your day!

Good Morning Nancy and OFF!
Nancy, compared to you we are all a bunch of pikers!  I don't know how you do all you do (and do it so well!) and stay sane and on top of everything!  geez woman!  I admire you so much sistah mine!
I do not have much to report actually. up to potty and decided a cup of decaf tea sounded good.will be heading back to bed shortly.  we had Chinese food at work on Wed, I ate some leftovers yesterday at lunch and they did not sit well with the pouchy poo.  I came home a tad early and vegged all evening.  I asked and recieved a consult to the orthopaedic office here and am going to ask about injections for the knees and my shoulder.  we'll see what happens.
Bitterly cold here in the North East Kingdom of Vt!  minus numbers this morning as it was yesterday too.  I don't think it ever got much above 10 degrees.  still have mountains of snow on the ground!  the church behind me has plowed back the snow again and I bet that pile of snow must be a good 15 feet anyway.  And of course it falls into my back yard, so I suspect it may still be there in June!  I hope not, but you never know!
Not much else in my world going on.  I did get online to POF and so far all the men I wrote to have either not responded or deleted my mail.  dorks!  LOL what do they know???!!!! anyway, off to sip the tea and go back to bed! Have a great Friday all!

Good morning, ya'll.
The new iPad comes out next week!!! I so wish this one had a camera so I could Skype my Sis. Oh well. If I had a responsible grandson, I would give him this one. You can download school books and not have to carry so many around. But since they can't even remember where they leave their car keys, I'm sure an iPad would last a week!
Pt this morning. I'm supposed to be going to twice a week, but I think we will stay with 3 times through March. I am not very good at doing my PT at home this time. Too many things going on. I feel like I have to carve out time to even go to PT.
I hope everyone has a fantabulous weekend!

Wish you had Skype, too, because I have it on my laptop and so enjoy talking with people face to face ... my brother and mom and other family members; and yesterday, Carla and Phyllis ...

The iPad price will have to go down a lot before I get one ... I don't even have an iPod!

Lap Band on 05/21/07 with
Carolyn,
I had chemo yesterday and today I got the neupogen shot.  I have another neupogen shot on Monday and one on Tuesday too.   Thanks for letting me know about that.  Did you experience the bone, sternum or headache pain that are side affects?
Hugs,
Bev

Bev, I gave myself the neupogen shots and I had no side effects. The only side effect I had from any of my treatments was tiredness, weight gain, and I lost 1/2 my hair when I was almost done with everything.
But, as I learned from watching others at Hope Lodge and the chemo doc, every case is different!
Rest often, take help when people offer and think positive. My prayers are with you, darlin!

TGIF Nancy, Everyone!

You are one amazing sistah!  Hope your day and all that is planned goes well. . .

Well today I am at the end of the work week, it has been busy with preparation for the big case that will keep us tied up for the next week or two, possibly longer, still lots to do and that will make my day go by in a hurry. . .  yay!!!  Going to see the grandkids tonight after work.

This weekend is going to be a busy one. . .  tomorrow I have my Barix support group leadership breakfast and then group, after which I will be heading to NY to my brother's house for my nephews birthday celebration, then home; Sunday I have Tony coming down, Lowes delivering my new washer/dryer, new roommate coming over to have her computer set up by someone she trusts (she is not moving in until April), old roommate is supposed to be coming to clear out my basement of all her stuff, which is currently occupying about 1/3 of the space down there and then back to work, where it promises to be an interesting experience over the course of the next couple of weeks. . .

Well boys and girls, hope you each have a wonderful day and for those of you having major life challenges, I wish you the peace and strength to get through them well.

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Nancy and everyone.....

WOW....you must just fall into bed exhausted every night!!!

Things are going well here at my daughters....having a great time with the grandkids. Jamie worked last night so Nic grilled us steaks for dinner. They were so awesome!!!  Gracie ate like a little pig. She loves broccoli with cheese so I made her some. She ate more steak then I did!! Nic always eats a ton....17 years old....they never fill up!!

Jamie came in my room last night and hugged me and told me how happy she was that I am here. She had such a huge smile on her face....it made me very happy too.

Everyone will be up soon....Nic is already off to school. I need to check Face Book yet so I will go for now.

Have a fabulous Friday!!

Prayers for many....special ones for some.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Good Morning

Headed out to work at the Food Pantry this morning, then having out of town company this afternoon.  Weekend doesn't look too bare.  Snow is gone, but the ground is still frozen, which doesn't surprise me as it's 24 degrees out there....  Wonder if my new weeder will be strong enough to work through the frozen sod????

Kidding, I'm kidding !!!  Still just a titch too early...

Everyone have a good weekend.

Just back a walk with Yoda. He can't understand why the squirrels can climb trees and he isn't able. We had fun.
He enjoyed his bath, smells wonderful, and his fur is so soft and fluffy. His ears do fly when he runs and romps. Thanks for letting go on and on about him. He has given us new life.
Spoke with the Gkids last night. Alex, age 8, wants us to spend next winter with him. He wants us to park the RV in the driveway and live there.....Alex, Paul, and Gfather. The guys house.
Emma will be 10 in 2 weeks, she wants a book "Wrinkle in Time". Gfather still doesn't understand a kid wanting a book. That all Alex wanted for Christmas, a huge book about all Star Wars characters. Thats what we gave him. Gfather, hubby, has dyslexia and reading has always been a problem. His childhood memories are of Sister Michael and her leather strap, his knuckes bleeding, father hitting and punishing him for not doing well in school. Trauma given for not reading well. Oh what our inner child carries for life.
I am sober 121 days and so proud of me. Oldest daughter says I am slurring my words and doesn't believe me about being sober. This hurts me deeply. But I am proving to me my strength and can only believe in me each day with triumph. At least hubby is supportive and then there are all of you who send support and caring. Thank you for that.
Hope Carla and Phyllis got some sleep last night. Hope to hook up with them and Candy soon.
Traveling bra doesn't have much planned. Remember to be good to yourselves.
Happy, Monica
