TGIF y'all ... and actually my last day, too.

Happy Friday everyone:

Just sitting here watching "Private Practice" on DVR after a crazy night at work. Went in with a headache, came home with a worse one ... two sports sections, a biz page with a crazy ad that kept hiding my stories. I desperately need two days off in a row, which I'll finally get Saturday. And my doc is weaning me off my antidepressant, so I'm doubly miserable (before I start on Cymbalta).

So today's payday, my money's in the bank and I have to pay bills yet. Anyway, what's up with you? Have a good one ...  I need to go to bed.

It’s a quarter to 3 in the morning and here I sit.  I had an accidental nap at 9 pm on the couch…..for two hours…darn! Now I’m wide awake but making good use of my time alone.  Derek is a Bouncer at a private St Paddy’s Day party out in Fort Erie (about 50 minutes drive from here) and it is extremely windy here. I got great news last night around suppertime.  I spoke to the Head Nurse where Mom lives and she told me that mom, at 91 years old, has beat the Norwalk Virus again!!! I guess I come from strong stock!!  She has been released from isolation and can again roam the halls in her wheelchair *s* and eat in the dining room.  She just says that she is “a bit tired”…wow! I am so relieved.  The facility still will not allow visitors in because some residents and some staff still has this highly-contagious virus.  In the meantime, I have frozen Mom’s pureed chicken barely soup for her until I can get in and I talk to her daily. Today, I counseled a wonderful little girl and her Mom…this child has Tourette’s but she is doing so well…she works hard at learning how to control her own very powerful energy...she is such a delight!  I made chili when I got home and right after supper, off Derek went to work the private party. Yesterday, five tiny orange kittens with white faces, all identical, appeared in a box on my side porch…so I visited them this afternoon.   can see the tips of daffodils peeking up thru the ground in front…and so Spring begins!  I wonder if I get that SADS-seasonal mood disorder….simply because I get so “high” when Spring starts…it’s so therapeutic to see the sun again. I just got an email from a cousin-by-choice, Leigh, who lives, down in eastern Canada, in Nova Scotia, where she just retired from engineering and teaching at the university. She now writes for periodicals and plays the harp. We are related to many of the same people and actually are only related to each other by marriage but we are so much alike and decided that we wanted to be cousins anyways! *s*   She is visiting Toronto next month and we will FINALLY meet…I am thrilled. Today (Friday) I will be having a “Lunch Celebration” with some former clients ..they asked me to join them with their teacher…they are graduating from a very intense course of Hypnotherapy. The teacher is a good friend of mine and she is extremely passionate about her work, and a hard taskmaster, so these young women have worked VERY hard and have learned excellent skills to help others.  I am so proud of them. Back home, I will complete the artwork for my poster. This is taking me longer than it should simply because, though I am an illustrator by trade, I am the old-fashioned kind of artist.  I draw with my hands. I do not take graphics off the computer, I make my own. However, I do not have the technical skills and software to manipulate it on the computer. This is very frustrating to me because I know what needs to be done, just not how to do it. I have just sent six pages of information articles to my webmaster to add to my BPW website, then I can start feeding information about the Wellness Fair for the vendors onto the site. Now I can complete writing out all the receipts on the computer and emailing them to my vendors. Happy Friday!!Nancy B Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Good morning one and all!

I second all Margo said to the first posters!

Margo, way to go!!!!!  Nothing shabby at all about that GPA, you have every reason to be happy and proud.
Here in AR, you can go to any State college free after the age of 60. Isn't that cool?  I'm making that my reason to look forward to turning that age, and darn it, it's coming faster than I'd like...lol

Had to take Baxter boy to the vet yesterday. He has some GI trouble, poor boy. So he's on meds and will spend the day today at the vet while we're both at work. They'll keep a close eye on him and we'll be more productive knowing he's well taken care of while we can'****ch him.

Ok....off to the shower!  Hope you all have a grand day. Hugs to all

Susan
