Morning y'all,

You'll notice I didn't say GOOD morning!  Just had a phone call from my husband in Saudi.  Choppers are grounded because of a sand storm!  He won't be leaving the rig today, and we just don't know about tomorrow.  *Sniff*

I think I must be in another stall.  And so it goes . . .

Don't have much good to say today.  Got a haircut at noon today.  Other than that, I'll just be cleaning the house and trying to finish up my to-do list.

Hope you all have a good day!

Thanks, Judy.  I'd like to say I'm used to it, but you never get used to it!  The chopper is actually ON the rig.  It managed to fly out, but the storm got worse and now it's grounded on the heliport.  And of course, choppers don't fly at night.  So hopefully the air will clear enough by morning for them to fly out.  That will put him home on Friday.  Hopefully, it's only one day.  I shouldn't be such a baby about it.

(Only thing, playing in the back of my mind, is the fact that sometimes those sand storms last for days!!!)

Be sure and post about your mom later today, okay?

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I had a good -- but strange -- day yesterday. Went off to see "Soul Surfer" to use my movie theater gift card but had a major brain cramp and went the wrong way on the interstate to go to the theater ... so I wouund up going east on I-20 (well, I started west and decided I was going the wrong way, so I turned around ... should've stayed west ... after all, it's in WEST Monroe ...duh!). So I missed the start of that show and ended up going first to Petco, got cat supplies, then went to a 1 p.m. showing of "The Adjustment Bureau," ... good movie with Matt Damon, always a cutie to watch anyway. Then I stopped at the chiropractor, which helped immensely. My neck feels so much better, as does my back. The visiting chiro from Tenn., he's such a cutie (a guy in my age bracket) ... he says I'm difficult to adjust ... but he did the job and for the first day in nearly two weeks, I don't have a headache. Then I went out for birthday fajitas at my favorite Mexican restaurant ... came home with enough food for three more meals ... shrimp, chicken and steak ... yummy!

And then the White Sox won, after blowing it first ... came back and won it in extra innings. So that made up for Monday. Another game this afternoon. But I have to work ... so I won't see the whole game probably.

Nancy, sorry to hear about your son ... I know this worries you and it should. War is not a good thing. I hope he is kept safe. I know Margie worried for 14 months or so when her son was sent to Iraq with the N.D. national guard ... he came home safe and then said he wouldn't redeploy again (age related).

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day.
