Great time with Janet and then my family again
Just a quick post ... Janet and I had a great day out today. She took pity on my poor body and took it easy on me. We went to this really cool unusual restaurant called Chef Point Cafe (Candy knows it ... and will be jealous, Janet says). Oh my, was the food good ... 5-star cuisine in a gas station. It's been featured on Diners, Dives and Drive-ins or something like that ... Guy Fieri's show. We split the duck appetizer and each had some lobster bisque ... yummo! Then we took the bread pudding with hot cognac sauce, had them split it in half, and took it to go ... I'll have it later tonight.
Then we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards and strolled around there ... not much open, but it was nice to browse. I'll upload photos and post when I get home.
So it was a little after 2 p.m. when Janet left and I decided to go back to my nephew's house and see them on Easter. They just got done with lunch (pizza ... on Easter? oh well) ... and I was full so I declined more food and sat and talked. Alexander was finally down for a nap; he slept for about a half hour and then was ready to party. He was so cute! How could he not be ... but he pooped out quickly. The storms kept him up last night. Everyone else (Jill's parents, my nephew's mom who's my brother's ex and her boyfriend) left and I had a chance to visit a little more with the kids and the baby, who drooled on me. Ah well, it was just an $8 shirt anyway.
So now I'm back and have to pack to go back to Louisiana tomorrow. Body is achy but I had a good time when I was able. Even my left knee and left elbow hurt ... never did that before. I'm going to a rheumatologist when I get back.
I loved seeing Janet today ... I so missed her! She's a great gal. Wait til you see the photo of us! What a hoot!

Hi Eileen...I am so jealous you got to see Janet. I would love to meet her sometime!! Gearge would be fun to be around I am sure!! I would love to meet all of you wonderful OFF friends!
It sounds like you have some really nice family moments and memories too.
